Congratulations, Jon Altheide, on 50 YEARS OF SERVICE! Our team and their families celebrated Jon and his family today. As part of the festivities, Alina Citovic was the 5th generation of the Van Dusen Family to sign a pay check for Jon, which Willis Van Dusen Sr. immediately "cashed in" for 50 American Silver Eagle silver dollars. One for each year of Jon's service... so far that is, because he is not retiring! Thank you, Jon, for your years of dedication, hard work, and especially your friendship!!

The scaffolding was just dismantled at the Astoria Column, and these photos are a testament to the outstanding work that was done as part of the project. A national treasure has been lovingly restored!
Years of Northwest winters took their toll on our fabulous murals. They have been brilliantly restored by a team of gifted artists and artisans dedicated to returning the Column to its original grandeur. To get a sense of the challenges they faced and the quality of their work, please enjoy these before and after shots of selected scenes. Thanks to all who are supporting the restoration! The artwork is complete; all that remains is the base and observation deck.
