Happy Mother's Day week everyone! Letting you know that those combination hanging baskets and pots are in extremely short supply this year. I'm sorry--our growers have run out of stuff that they usually have until late May. What we have, is all we're going to get. Please shop early this week if you want something special for Mom. (I hear that brunch reservations are scarce too.) How about cook her nice surprise at home?

It's vegetable weekend folks! May 1st is the Old Timer's "first day you should put a tomato in the ground." The soil is certainly warming up quick for us this week. We have 4 cell packs of tomatoes, peppers, squash, melons, okra, and more. Limited supply of ORGANIC tomatoes and hot peppers (grown by a Hanover County Master Gardener). We're packing it full of color for Mother's Day next weekend as well. Supplies have be tricky this year for everyone it seems. If you see something you like, don't wait to get it. May not be available next week.

Applicants need to be excellent with customer service, knowledgeable about annuals and perennials, and able to cheerfully load customer's plants and bagged soils into vehicles. Our seasonal greenhouse needs a few knowledgeable plant people to help customers succeed with their gardens. Our season is April 13-May 30th. Successful applicants will be able to work outdoors, on their feet, happily up to their elbows in the potting bench or grooming our locally grown plants.
