The Good Shepherd Alliance
The summer is a great time to give. Organizations like Good Shepherd Alliance receives fewer donations over the summer but the need is just as great.
Please pray for all of our residents as they seek jobs and housing. Give thanks for and congratulations to our families who are moving to permanent housing in June; their hard work has certainly paid off! Pray for our new mother and her sweet newborn and celebrate with us for our new kitchen provided through a grant and the donations of many local businesses (more coming on that soon). Summer is a low donation time so please pray for funds to pay all the bills as we are privately funded. Thank you so much!

Interesting interview with our friend Krysta Jones of VLI about nonprofits and advocacy in today's environment. One point of note is that every child in need used to have nearly 10 resources for help, but in 2015, they may just have one due to dwindling community assistance. LCDF looks forward to having a seat at the table to serve the Loudoun County community.
