Niagara Falls (Niagara Falls in English, Chutes du Niagara in French) are a set of waterfalls located on the Niagara River, in northeastern North America, between Canada and the United States. Located at about 236 meters (774.28 ft) above sea level, its drop is approximately 51 meters (167.33 ft).
They comprise three waterfalls: the Canadian Falls in Ontario, Canada, the American Falls in New York, and the smaller Bridal Veil Falls. Although they do not have a great height, they are very wide and are the most voluminous in North America, since all the water of the Great Lakes passes through them. Goat Island is located between the Canadian and American Falls.
ITINERARY
Day 1
Departure towards Niagara Falls, crossing the picturesque region of Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York. Brief stops to rest. Once we arrive depending on the weather we will visit The Cave of the Winds a trip that will take you closer to the waters of Niagara Falls than you thought possible. Then, clad in a bright yellow poncho and wearing the special footwear provided, you follow a tour guide over a series of wooden walkways to the famous “Hurricane Deck”. As you stand at the railing, you are a mere 20 feet (6 meters) from the billowing torrents of Bridal Veil Falls.
At night we will be able to observed the light show where you will enjoy Niagara Falls illumination is a must for any visitor! Every night of the year, the three waterfalls that make up Niagara Falls are illuminated in glowing colours creating a stunning vista that can be viewed from near and far.
If you have proper documentation you can cross the boarder and visit Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Day 2
All passengers will be on the American side to visit the falls and enjoy them up close, both the American and the Canadian (the Horseshoe), boarding the famous boat *Maid of the Mist. We will also visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima.
Time for lunch and then departure to Virginia
