Roots to Rise lives on - go get them while they’re available
REPOST: It’s baaaaccckkkkk. Our new juice bottles have officially launched! They are in limited supply for the first few weeks so come get them while they are in stock!
940 Sycolin Rd Ste 145 (across from Leesburg Airport)

💕 It is with hearts filled and complete pride in choosing what’s right for our family at this time that we announce that we are officially closing Roots to Rise. While we took these past few months away from the business to explore potential opportunities, Eddie and I checked in daily with our feelings about closing an incredibly successful business. It is not easy. In fact, it’s like watching something you put so much time, energy, and effort into “fail”. But the more we explored this notion of failure, the more we realized that that is not at all what occurred. We succeeded. We created a community of individuals that understand the benefits and joy of truly nourishing themselves with a vegetable and fruit 🌈 . That felt the difference daily in how their bodies moved, responded, and delighted in local foods and produce. We gained a family in YOU.
✨
While this may be a shock to some, it is a joy to us to know that we are in need of choosing time with our family and friends. For us, holding down two full time jobs, supporting 4 kiddos (big and small), and running our side dream business (that became a full time job) in Roots to Rise became quite a lot. It took time away from the people who count on us most in many cases; time we know we won’t always have as our kiddos age.
✨
But the sadness is in losing those precious moments at markets, on the phone, or in email that we had with each of you. It’s in knowing how the revolution you undertook may end. So, we do not want to leave you without the nourishment you became accustomed to. In the next couple of months, I’m taking on writing a cookbook that will house each juice, soup, granola, mylk, etc. recipe you’ve come to love. You CAN make these beautiful, beneficial, and bountiful foods at home. Stay tuned loves, we will make every effort to keep you fueled.
✨ (more in comments)
💕 Hey RtR family. It is with a heavy heart, and yet bated breath, that we announce that we are pushing the big pause button. Yes, Roots to Rise is taking a hiatus. As of November 13, we are going to stop production for a much needed business assessment, some serious down time, re-resourcing of ourselves, and “a little perspective,” as Anton Ego says in Ratatouille (a big kid-friendly foodie fav flick in our house).
💕
Please place your orders for this weekend and the 13th soon! After that, we are turning the lights out for a bit. Stock up on our frozen options to get you through!
💕
Have a joyous holiday season all; sending peace, health, so much love and aloha to you as we wind down the year.
Hi spooktakular friends!

Come in out to stock up on cold pressed juice love, soups, biscuits, nut and oat mylks, and more tomorrow and so that you don’t have to order pizza and cook on Halloween! The kiddos will be well fed (before diving in to that big ol bag of candy 🍬).

Creep it real guys. 🦸🏻♀️🦹🏻♂️
🎃
Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday. 🎃 👻 And no, it’s not because of the pumpkin everything (although I LOVE pumpkin - the real kind. Try it in our new Spooktakukar Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice Cashew Mylk!). It’s the crispness in the air, the moment kiddos get excited about holiday joy, the time for LOTS of soups, warming spices, slowing down, the crunch of leaves, and it’s the time when my creativity leaks out if every fiber of my being, especially in the kitchen.
It’s harvest time, it’s the darker nights, it’s concocting all kinds of goodies for YOU! Come see what we’ve made; it’s a world of fall magic in the form of nourishing, delighting foods! We can together…

9/26 - Roots to Rise will be in DC popping up from 10-1 pm ; the best pastries we’ve EVER had! Come find us for air high-fives, elbow bumps, smiles, samples, and treating yourself to the best pastry 🥐 💕🥮.
It will be a glorious day to be slow, walk around the city with your juice and pastry, find a perfect green spot to sit, and watch the people go by.
Come! We’d love to see all of your lovely, amazing, heart-filled, soulful faces. 😘

We’ve been busy brewing up some seasonal offerings over here…stay tuned. In two days, we shift with nature’s intelligence and begin to bring back and bring forward old and new hearty, warming, spicy, nourishing, comfort-inducing beverages, soups, and some new surprises. 🍂 🍠 🎃 🌰 🍄

Happy world chocolate day! 🌍 🍫 ❤️
We LOVE chocolate and aim to share our love of it by preserving its essence; cacao! Did you know that we use cacao in two of our delicious drinks and in our scrumdiliumptious energy bites? Well, WE DO! Pure, organic cacao is used in our mocha-choca-lata-oatie-yaya (you can call it mocha choca for short) - A dark chocolate cacao oat milk, our Rey of Light (a delicious mix mocha choca and cold brew - serve cold or hot, your choice), and our energy bites! These taste like amazing frozen brownies but are all plant powered goodness. We have two delectable options; coated in weird brothers embrace the dark side espresso, or Un-caffeinated and coated in chia, h**p hearts, or coconut 🥥.
Happy chocolate grazing my friend. And, if you want a bar of the GOOD stuff, hop over to ; their chocolate is without match and their story is truly inspirational. 🍫 💕

Prepare yourself folks, this is a long one. Joy. It’s something we all desperately deserve yet is elusive sometimes. This past year has taken all of our mental fortitude to find and hold onto it. It’s been a year of fear, overwhelm, deep love, distant connection and anxiety. A year of collective exhaustion. But we found Joy. ♾joy. She lives within.
❤️
A story on Joy… 4 1/2 years ago Eddie lost his middle sister to an ugly cancer. We called it the Mike Tyson of cancer. It came on strong and wouldn’t leave despite every active measure. Our love and joy of juice spawned from two things; one of them was Lisa❤️. Cold pressed juice was one of the only things Lisa❤️ could taste and enjoy as she was going through lots of chemo. Our other reason for juice is a long and beautiful story we will tell another time…
❤️
Before she passed, she had an infectious Joy and everyone she met she either sang a song to, or told them a truth. It was wild and amazing to watch. Her daughter Katelyn introduced her to her theme song, Zach Williams Old Church Choir. The line that she would scream-dance-sing to was “ain’t nobody gonna steal my joy.” It is our go to when times get tough. It makes us remember how fleeting, precious, perfect, and painful life is regardless of the moment. Although it’s not always easy to remember, finding and living with a heart full of joy is always a choice.
Eddie’s amazing daughter designed our new t-shirts depicting infinite love and joy. This is our tribute to Lisa❤️, a reminder to choose joy and love, and a much needed mantra as we come back into the world of physical and emotional (re)connections.❤️
Go ahead, crank up the Zach Willams tune and sing-scream-dance and FEEL JOY.
Thank you for making our vision and tribute come true.
🤙🏽🌈♾❤️shirts not on our site to purchase yet, but let us know want one! They will be there by tomorrow.
It’s going to be another swampy hot one this weekend (and ALL of next week - bring it summer!). We will have frozen and ready to consume ready for YOU! 🤜🏻🤛🏾🤙🏽

It’s GAZPACHO time!!! 🍅 🌽 🫑 🥒 ❤️
Yes, this beautiful cold soup is here after many, many requests. And, it’s awesomely flavorful, chunky yet smooth, and will be sold in LIMITED QUANTITIES this Saturday because of its limited shelf life. And, it comes in a gorgeous jar that you can return for $ off on your next purchase.
Tomato, roasted pepper, cucumber, red onion, garlic, corn, red wine vinegar, smoked paprika, evoo, salt, & black pepper tantalize those tastebuds and give you reason to shake those hips and do that little shoulder dance of happy joy. 💃🏾 Pairs well with Julia’s ridiculously awesome cornbread! (I know, I was the taste tester TWICE this week and it was 🤯 good.).
Get ready folks, this will sell out. You can place your preorder on our website and we will set some aside for you.

It hits 90 this week! 🥵 Eddie and I are rocking some serious açaí bowls at our house for lunch today which I know are mad popular go-to’s as the weather gets hot. You CAN make these babies at home easily; here’s our recipe!
🫐Açaí base for two:
- 1 unsweetened frozen package açaí (we love version)
- 1 cup of fresh local spinach leaves 🍃 (thank you for this!)
- 1/2 cup frozen wild organic blueberries
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup Roots to Rise Heart Opener (almond milk)
- 1/4-1/3 cup Roots to Rise Alo Ha or Warrior
✨🌈🤙🏽blend🤙🏽🌈✨
Topped with strawberries, 1 Tbs h**p seeds, 1 Tbs chia seeds, natural chunky PB or almond butter scoop, extra banana slices and of course, Roots to Rise granola!!
💥 perfection and NOT TO SWEET, just like nature intended it to be. (Newbies to açai bowl note: be on the look out for a lot of artificial sweeteners and additives! Don’t be afraid to ask what’s going into your bowl 🥣)
What do you like in your açaí bowl?!?

All up in my meditative feelings in this moment and calling on the healing and soothing powers of ginger, cardamom, and chai in this beautiful mylk ...18 days left of school, not that far off from summer and slowing down in a cool pool, and hopefully calmer, less tear filled mornings once virtual schooling ends. 🤪
💕👍🏼👩🏽💻Shout out to all of the teachers, educators, and administration for all of the incredible efforts you’ve put in to this wild and unorthodox year. It hasn’t been easy, but you’ve shown pure heart, grit, and action during these super tough times. You deserve a moment. You deserve a meditation...

It’s spinach season!!!! 🌱
And thanks to two of our incredible small and local farm partners, and , we are rolling in this beautiful and delicious leaf! What does that mean? Lemony Lentil soup is BACK! (And it has oodles of spinach!) Also, we pack a big ol’ bunch of this amazing leaf in our Warrior and Deep Green (aka TDB, our non-fruit cold-pressed juice) juices.
🌱🥰
Why do we love spinach so much? Welllllll, it has a bunch of calcium, magnesium, and iron. It improves eyesight, regulates blood sugar, and is a cancer preventative. It also helps with your bone health, has a bunch of antioxidants and is awesome for your eyes...but that’s just a few of the benefits! What else, well, it’s just plain DELISH!
We ❤️ 🌱!!!!

This is how we feel when we see you! Come see us! 🥰☔️🙌🏽🌱 (The girls even woke up extra early to see your beautiful faces today… Yes, we love our people!).💕

Fun little story about our shot formerly named Fight the Flame...🚫🔥yes, it is staying the same tried, tested, and true recipe because sooooo many of you order this awesome inflammation buster weekly!
We received a very kind email from Fight the Flame organization that this name is actually trademarked! ( who knew?). They asked us kindly to rename our delicious 🍋, ginger, turmeric, and 🍍 shot. Because all of those gorgeous properties remain 100% inflammation busters, we didn’t want to go too far off the mark. So, the aptly named artist formerly known as Fight the Flame is now called Fight the Fuego… It happily became bilingual overnight.
Yes, you can preorder these babes! They are an amazing morning addition to any routine.
Pucker up buttercup, this one is sure to wow your tastebuds and tantalize those gleecking mechanisms 😝

Happy St. Patrick’s day!🍀🌈💕
The traditional question of “Are you wearing green?” today is replaced by Roots to Rise with the question, “are you eating, drinking, and being green?”🍀
We strive to pack our offerings full of GREEN goodness whenever we can so that you can receive the benefits of their antioxidant richness, the A,C,and E vitamin packed nature of greens, and because, well, we love the taste and feel that eating our greens provides. 🌱🥦🥬🥒🥝🥑🍏🌿
🍀 Today we are introducing a new powerful green spring mint and pea soup. It’s the perfect offering this time of year when baby greens begin to sprout, herbs are starting to push through the ground, and the coming of all things green begins to emerge.
As always, we have our four phenomenal green juices too: the Warrior, the Prana, the Humble Warrior, and the Green Machine, also known as TDB. 🌱
Lastly, I know there’s great debate about using plastics. We envision a world where we can use glass and reuse and recycle more freely. Unfortunately, glass in our area is not being recycled and it’s going into landfills faster than plastics. However, we are always on the hunt for a more viable solution. In the meantime, convert those bottles! I’ve used them to propagate small plant and succulent cuttings which have become gifts for many. Finding cool ways to be green is truly a powerful heart opening experience to me. 🌱💚🍀

Happy 🥧 Day!!! 🍎🥰🥧🍏
It was such a pleasure delivering these beauties so that people could enjoy amazing apple Piefection today! If you didn’t get one, they’re not gone. These are going to be a Roots to Rise staple. You can order them vegan or non-vegan, and we’ll add more seasonal offerings as more fruit is available locally.
So, the big question is, “What kind of pie are you eating today?”
