Happy Mother's Day!

A special Mother's Day tribute to the great sacrifices mothers make thousands of times every day. It is truly the little things that matter most, so let's take time to reflect on all the reasons we have to be thankful for the special women in our lives.

"The most important person on earth is a mother. She cannot claim the honor of having built Notre Dame Cathedral. She need not. She has built something more magnificent than any cathedral – a dwelling for an immortal soul, the tiny perfection of her baby’s body. The angels have not been blessed with such a grace. They cannot share in God’s creative miracle to bring new saints to heaven. Only a human mother can. Mothers are closer to God the Creator than any other creature; God joins forces with mothers in performing this act of creation … What on God’s good earth is more glorious than this: to be a mother?"

The Angel Gabriel's message to Mary "Be not afraid" for nothing is impossible for God!

During these hard times, let's remember that today is a day of hope. Annunciation Day marks the incarnation of Jesus Christ. We are thankful for today and the rest of the days that will come.
O Blessed Mother, you received the good news of the incarnation of Christ, your Son, with faith and trust. Grant your protection to all pregnant mothers facing difficulties. “CHERISH LIFE” Learn the Facts

January is Sanctity of Human Life Month, and this year Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is celebrated on either January 16th or 23rd, which is a time churches throughout the United States celebrate God's gift of life, commemorate the lives lost to abortion, and commit to protecting human life at every stage. It is celebrated every year on the Sundays closest to the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision by the U.S. Supreme Court.

On Jan. 22, 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled to legalize abortion-on-demand in all 50 states in the U.S. Since the ruling, more than 63 million abortions have been performed in the U.S., according to a new analysis by National Right to Life.

On January 22nd each year, we celebrate National Sanctity of Human Life Day, which recognizes the value of every human life. Today, churches throughout the United States will observe a day of prayer particularly for the Sanctity of Human Life, “ Giving Thanks to God for the Gift of Human Life” May all unborn children be protected in law and welcomed in love!

HOW TO OBSERVE SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE DAY
Many churches hold prayer vigils around the country. They also collect items for newborns and new moms to support them. Donate items such as formula, baby clothes, cribs, blankets and toys to support these causes. Some organizations offer resources for baby care classes, daycare, job training, and adoptions and more.

SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE DAY HISTORY
President Ronald Reagan first proclaimed National Sanctity of Human Life Day in 1984 to be observed on the Sunday closest to January 22nd. The first observance took place on the 11th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision. Since 1984, Presidents George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Donald J. Trump have proclaimed the day during their presidencies.

NATIONAL SAFE HAVEN ALLIANCE

Did you know that each year in the United States, many babies are abandoned?

HELP spread the word and Please share this 24 HOUR HOTLINE NUMBER 1-888-510-BABY, text “safehaven” to 313131

The Safe Haven Laws allow a parent to anonymously surrender their unharmed infant to a designated Safe Haven provider within a specific time after birth.

This hotline provides specialized intervention for new parents in crisis situations and also refers women in crisis pregnancies to local PHCs.

We wanted to share the good news that Safe Haven legislation provides parents a safe way to relinquish their infant to a safe and healthy place. The National Safe Haven Alliance works to promote these laws and to increase awareness on both local and national levels. They provide training, conferences, and all the information needed to help promote awareness in the community to ensure that women and babies in need can take advantage of these life saving laws.
