Thanks a latte Kings Cross! ☕️
Happy to be together to worshiping God
At King's Cross, we know we are perfectly loved, but find we love imperfectly.
Here we have found good friends, but are still learning HOW TO BE good friends.
We have found love and acceptance, but are still learning HOW TO love & accept others.
Why not come and grow with us?
Today is the day!
Our 2nd annual Chili Cook-off is a great excuse to meet new faces! (Don't be surprised if they start to feel like family!)

Join us for worship at 10:15, and stick around for lunch (on us) at noon!
Worship isn't a "got to," but a "get to."
Not an obligation, but an opportunity.
We worship together because grace changes everything.
Why not join us today?
Love takes the first step. God showed us his full glory and love not by keeping to himself, but by coming from heaven.

What motivates us to come to church? The awesome love of God, who came down to earth. We come to church because God came to earth.

Why do we meet each Sunday? Why not worship alone?

God has blessed us & placed us in the lives of others that we might be a blessing to them. That's how Jesus lived: He had it all, but lived for others.

Why don't you join us this Sunday?
Hello church family!

I am in need of some prayer and assistance this week and was wondering if you all would be willing to help support me this week. Over the last month, my family has been working through a difficult move. We were in the home stretch of moving things over last week and planned to have a few of our close friends help us move furniture and boxes for the final push, but our trailer driver backed out and the numbers for helping hands are dwindling! I wanted to put this request out sooner when I saw my family lacked the help we needed to move, but I was waiting for the OK from my mother to proceed. Given how much we have to move and how little help we now have, she finally said “We need all the help we can get!”

With that said, I am now turning to you, my church family, to ask for a helping hand. We have a moving truck ready to rock, a few hands to help thus far, but we are in need of a few more. If you have a few hours to spare to give my family and I a hand, we would appreciate all of the help we can get! We’ll feed you lunch, and if need be dinner, but any time you can spend with us in Manassas between 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM on Saturday we will be grateful. Feel free to reach out to me via Facebook if you are interested in helping out.

The last thing I will ask of you, church family, is prayer. My family and I have been going through a rough patch as I grow to be a young adult, and I am working on creating a relationship with my sisters and mother that will hopefully carry for the years to come. Please pray for the move and pray for my family as we learn to grow into this new season of life that the Lord has set upon us!

Thank you for your support, King’s Cross! I truly appreciate everything you all have given me as such a new member of this congregation.

Blessings,
Morgan Combs

NEW LINK FOR SEPT-NOV BACKPACK BUDDIES SIGN UP! Go to our website, click on “Events”, then use the link in the description for the “Fall Backpack Buddies” event!

If you’re new to the church or have never heard us talk about Backpack Buddies (BPB), this is an empowering and incredibly practical way to serve our community by reducing food insecurity for the at-risk kids at Trailside Middle School. King’s Cross has been doing BPB for years now, donating crates of groceries each week to the participating families.

We are always looking for more volunteers to sign up! You can either sign up for a grocery shopping slot or a packing/delivering slot. The grocery runs happen just once a month, and the packaging and delivering happens weekly. The sign up sheet says 9:30-2:30 but our Mercy Ministries Coordinator Catherine is flexible with timing if you need to meet up at an alternate time! The time commitment is less than an hour usually. Reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions or need more details!
