What is the difference between a 💋Lip Flip vs. Lip Filler?

Do you love the size of your bottom lip, but think your upper lip is too thin? Does your upper lip disappear when you smile? 😬 If so, a lip flip may be for you! Botox or Dysport is 💉 injected along the upper lip to relax the muscles, which then causes the upper lip to “flip” slightly upward. This effect gives the illusion of a fuller lip 👄 without changing the size. This lasts anywhere between 2-3 months depending on the patient.

Lip Filler will add volume and hydrate your lips and results can last up to 1 year 🗓️. It’s perfect for those that are looking for a more noticeable change than a lip flip. Just because your lip size changes, doesn’t mean it still can’t look natural! Our providers take a conservative approach when it comes to fillers. They are careful to educate patients that lips can take time to build. Trust us when we say that patience pays off!

This patient above wanted to test the waters with a lip flip. She loved her results so much that when the tox wore off, she was ready to commit to filler! She is currently on a plan to have a second syringe injected within the next 3-6months.

Have you ever heard that filler looks fake?

Most don’t know that the amount in each syringe only equals the size of a blueberry 🫐 . When properly placed, it’s very difficult 🔎 to tell where the filler was placed!

Here’s a closer look of the results from our reel! This lovely patient had 1 syringe of filler injected into her cheeks and 3/4 of another syringe in her lips 👄.

Injecting the cheeks replaced the volume loss she had and gave her under eye area additional support, resulting in a natural, refreshed, and youthful look 😌.

I was watching Marry Me 💍 (don’t judge me 🙈) the other day, when I noticed the skin laxity in Owen Wilson’s neck. He’s 54.

Signs of aging are often most apparent in the neck, chest, and hands as those are the forgotten areas. We remember to slather on the skincare and sunscreen and treat the fine lines and wrinkles on our faces 🧖‍♀️, but forget the neck, chest, and hands.

Loss of skin elasticity is caused by the decline of collagen and elastin, which are the proteins that give skin its structure and ability to stretch 🙆‍♀️.

🍂 Tis the season for giving! 🍂

We are lucky to have many resources right here in Loudoun County. Unfortunately, one of our patients posted about how low supplies currently are at our food pantries.

Also, while fall is one of our faves, it also brings along with it, cooler weather. Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter aids women and children escaping domestic violence. Many leave with absolutely nothing.

We want to help our neighbors and are asking for your assistance.

We’re hosting a food and coat drive from 10/21-11/11. The food donations will benefit and gently used coats and jackets will help keep women and children warm at . Both are local nonprofits in Leesburg, VA. Feel free to bring non-perishables and coats to our Ashburn office and we’ll take care of the rest!
