LEF's Innovation in Education grants are open NOW (link below 👇) and can be used for learning that's *wildly* outside the box.
Last fall, Potowmack Elementary School 3rd Grade teacher Mrs. Perrault applied for and received a $500 grant to create an "Amazing Animals" science course.
Her students studied animals native to Virginia, creating digital reports and models of the animals to share with classmates.
They got inspiration from the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center — and met some furry and feathered friends — for hands-on learning with:
🐍 a black rat snake
🦨 a skunk
🦉 an Eastern Screech Owl
Innovative learning gives Loudoun County Public Schools students an unforgettable experience, and space to dream big.
