A **non-permanent resident** (non-perm resident) is a person who is legally in the United States on a temporary basis but does not have a permanent residency status (Green Card). They typically hold visas such as:

- **Work Visas** (e.g., H-1B, L-1, O-1)
- **Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
- **DACA**

This is a significant change! Borrowers in these categories hoping to us FHA or USDA financing shouldn’t wait to buy a home.
