Guess what's back? Back again.... are back...tell a friend!!!!!
Yup, the Market is in full force in NOVA!!! Just this past week I wrote an offer on a beautiful home in ,VA that had 5 offers on it the same day it was listed!!!! They ended up with 7 offers, 3 of which were all cash. Fortunately my clients were the successful bidders (thankfully I can still schmooze listing agents like a champ)!
As you may know, inflation drives mortgage rates and the Federal Reserve's actions to reduce inflation are working. Analysts are now suggesting that by the end of this year, interest rates are expected to go down to possibly high 4%-5.5% range. Does this mean you should wait if you are looking to buy?!? NOPE!!!!! There are many programs out there to get killer interest rates (ask me about a 2/1 buy down) and many lenders are offering no cost refinances when the rates do drop again.
That being said....THERE IS NO INVENTORY IN OUR AREA!!!! You may still have a chance to negotiate with older listings. With people sitting tight on their low rates and not selling unless they have to, the inventory is tight. It's still all about . There are still options for home buyers out there but the time to act is NOW!!!! Considering selling you home? Get it ready as the buyers are out there! My prediction is that the traditional is going to be even crazier than what we saw last year and the year before. I am happy to share my thoughts with anyone and give tailored advice depending on your situation.
