Our client, John, closed on his very first home last week! Every closing is so amazing but this one hit close to home for me. John’s wife and kids had been working on getting visas to relocate here from the Philippines but the process was put on hold during Covid and they had to wait years to be reunited again. When they finally got their visas approved, John only had weeks to find the right property and close in time for when his family got here. With some awesome team work between the lender Michael Sabarre, our business associate .jwtt, and everyone else involved, we were able to find John his perfect home in his desired school district. My mom came to the US with a nursing program and lived here away from her family for years to raise enough money to relocate us from the Philippines, so I know how excited his family must be right now and how relieved they must feel to have a house to call home waiting for them when they arrive. Seeing this process from John’s perspective now when I was once the 5 year old immigrant getting ready to move clear across the globe was such a cool experience and it makes all the craziness of real estate life more than worth it to see stories like this at the closing table.
