Have you heard about Odyssey of the Mind? This program is one of the most fun and creative experiences of your student's childhood! Check out this promotional video and let us know if you are interested in forming another team with more Sanders creative problem solvers! We currently have one team here at Sanders Corner but would LOVE to form more teams. Everyone from Kindergarten-5th are able to participate if coaches are available. Check out the options of problems for the 24-25 school year in the comments.

Get ready for the return of our Watch DOGS (Dads Of Great Students) and Watch MOMS (Moms Of Magnificent Students). They are a huge help to the SCES staff and make the students’ day extra special. And it’s not just for dads and moms; grandparents and other role models are welcome to volunteer too!

Returning Watch DOGs & MOMs can begin volunteering via the sign up on Membership Toolkit the week of Sep 9, 2024. All new volunteers to the program must attend training during the second PTA meeting on Sep 26, 2024.

LET’S GET READY FOR DOLPHIN DASH! FREE DOLPHIN DASH T-SHIRTS - TELL US YOUR CHILD’S SIZE BY 9/4!

By now you should have your child's fundraising page set up. Each student will receive a FREE T-shirt to wear to Dolphin Dash! To make sure we give each student the correct size, please click the link below to fill out a brief form. Please join us tonight for the first PTA meeting of the year! If you are planning on attending in person, you can even bring the kids, as childcare will be provided for all school aged children. Bring all kids to the gym starting at 6:20 PM. We would love to see you in person at our school’s library, however if you cannot attend physically, we invite you to join us virtually.

LET’S GET READY FOR DOLPHIN DASH! SET UP YOUR CHILD’S FUNDRAISING PAGE:
There will be prizes for the grade that raises the most money (relative to the number of students) and for the three classes with the highest rates of participation in the fundraiser! To add your child as a participant, please follow these easy steps:

Click the blue "Register" button on the right-hand side.

Enter your CHILD’s name (not your name!), enter your email address, select your child's grade in the drop-down menu, and enter your child's teacher's name. (The data on grades/teachers are only there to help us tally up the prize winners; they will not be visible on the fundraising page.)

Click “Register” > this will take you to your newly created pledge page!

Share your child’s pledge page link with friends and family and on social media!

Please note that each child will need his/her own fundraising page.

Please join us for the first PTA meeting of the year on Tuesday, August 27th, at 6:30 PM. This is a great chance to get to know other SCES families and learn about the events and programs we’re planning for this year! You can join us in the SCES library or online; watch for an email on the morning of the meeting with the link to log in. Meeting materials will be posted on the PTA website.
