The Fancy Fungi

Seems we are getting better at it each time. The new buckets (with some slight changes) seem to be giving up much larger prittier, and heavier clusters. Here i am holding our biggest so far at 1.1 pounds.

We even have a few new restauraunts that have requested we deliver some samples. So Exciting!

Got Mushrooms?
Yes... Yes we do! This is about half of 2 buckets that were ready, with 6 more fruiting as I post this. They look great. The clusters were nice and big, with nice size caps.

Got the packaging ready. Will have around 5 lbs put into 1/2 lb and 1/4 lb boxes for sale. If you are interested in some, and you are in the DFW area let us know.

These are shaping up to be some pretty good clusters.

Scaling up. We have 4 buckets fruiting. We caught the new clusters and put them in the friting room early enough. They are looking like they are going to be pretty good size clusters.

Mary Nichelini was the 7th of the Nichelini children. She was a mushroom expert and knew all of the wildflowers that grew in Chiles Valley!

Ok everyone. We have our first 4 sample boxes up for grabs. Let me know if you want some.

This is today. We will be harvesting some today.

Ok... so the next round will be all blue oyster mushrooms again. Spent the entire weekend layering grain spawn, sterile hydrated straw and stabil-zorb corn cob pellets in the 12 gallon buckets. So the next round should yeild quite the pounds... hopefully.

It's so cool watching these progress so fast. This is today... the difference from yesterday is astounding!
