I have been working on bringing more depth and dimension back into Alona’s hair for close to a year now. I am so satisfied with these results.

Slow and steady is always the best approach. I was working with some really brassy bands and super bleached out ends. I always wanted to maintain her hairs integrity and keep working towards healthier and thicker hair. You can see through the photos how much growth we have in every aspect.

From over blonded to the perfect beige. I am in love.

January was for velvet tops, sweet treats and Dino’s of course.

We had been creating more copper and golden tones for Berkeley’s hair. Today we started working towards a lighter and more neutral color palette.

December was for Dino’s, girlies and drinks.

Let’s talk maintenance 👇

It may be surprising to learn that in order to create these really beautiful brunette tones, we have to lift/ lighten your hair up quite a lot! We need to lift past the brassy orange stage so that we can achieve cleaner and cooler tones that will offer better control against unwanted brass.

It’s all about that gloss. Gloss’s are the magic elixir that really bring the whole look together to create the expensive brunette 💁🏻‍♀️

Gloss’s need to be maintained every 6-8weeks. Some of my clients prefer to go longer between gloss’s (this is 100% dependent on your hair and home care regime)

The longer between gloss’s - the lighter you will feel. The more chance of seeing unwanted tone creep in.

I am very excited for 2023 and the new opportunities that this year will bring. To share just a few of my personal NY resolutions:
• Movement for the mind and mood.
• Take 3 hair education classes. (Starting with a class this summer!)
• Read 10 books. (This is a big number for me 🙈)
• Be open and listen for the universe providing new pathways and growth opportunities.
I got a little woo-woo on that last one. But we need all the energy for all the manifesting!

These Autumnal colors are so rich and decadent. But did you know that a lot of these warmer tones are harder to keep in your hair? So, how do we combat that a d set you up for successful Fall hair?

1- it starts at home. Great home care shampoo and conditioner. We want gentle, color sage cleansers and moisture rich conditioners. A few of my favorites include Recovery Line or Hydrating line.

2. Regular Gloss maintenance. I recommend booking your gloss appointments around 6-8wks after color. That way we are keeping those beautiful pigments locked into your hair. Hair color will always fade between appointments. The sooner we can see each other again, the more we can build up that foundation of pigment for a longer lasting color.

3- that’s it! Enjoy your hair!

Appointments can be managed through the Vagaro app. If you need to cancel inside of the 48hr window you will need to email and/ or text me. I do always look at the time stamps on digital messaging so please do not stress if I don’t respond immediately.

The following is just a little guide to help you prep to see me!

1: Color appointment prep.
Yes, I do need you to shampoo your hair before hand. Don’t worry, You will still get a chance to relax and melt into the head massage when I condition your hair. I promise! I use an ammonia free, naturally derived color line that requires a clean surface for best lifting and color depositing results.

2: Wavy, Curly prep. Let me see your curly babies shine. This is necessary for me to give you the best haircut curated to your unique curl pattern and lifestyle.

3: rompers and play suits will always be very problematic when you need to run to the loo with 100 foils in your hair. Hoodies will inhibit cutting any straight lines. Turtlenecks are very hard to work with and will most likely become very soggy after shampooing 😅

4: also ready an willing to discuss Harry Potter, GOT, All of Star Wars, Marvel/ DC, most fandoms for fantasy. Oh and hair. I can also talk a lot about hair.

Lived In Balayage

This was my lovely clients first time balayage. I had a completely natural canvas to work off of. We wanted to create brightness around the face but keep it lower maintenance.

As Kristy is a brunette I wanted to still keep a lot of her natural depth throughout. I created a very soft graduation of color towards the back of her head.

Creating a balanced look for a brunette seeking brightness can be tricky. We wanted to see those bright pops whilst still feeling like a brunette in our soul.

I always want to meet you where you are at! If you want to blend and embrace grays- I’m here for it. If you want those grays gone- I’m here for it!

Ultimately I want you to feel amazing and confident with your hair. And I am not going to pressure you into something that you don’t love.

Some people like embracing. Others don’t - and that’s ok! There’s room for all of us.
