We had our first experience with Freedom Marine Center this morning...I am impressed! These folks are awesome. We do not have a late model boat and I wasn't in there to buy a boat. I just needed to get some fuel lines. They treated me like I was their #1 customer, didn't rush me, happily gave needed advice, and to top it off...the parts were priced right!!!

Mercury 150 XR4 Outboard HELP!!!

Dropped lower to change water pump. Attempted to put lower unit back and it wouldn't go in. Water tube and shift linkage are aligned. Spline is aligned. However, when I look up the shaft I see this. What is that ring? Why is it loose? What now?
