This time of year, as the seasons change, anxiety and seasonal depression especially are on the rise. While I would never suggest someone give up their PSL, I do believe in being an informed consumer.
Sugar is in more places and higher amounts than you may realize, having a profound impact on our mental health.

Why should we be concerned?
The average American adult consumes 77 grams of sugar per day. (And probably more if you’re starting your day with a drink like these 😳) The American Heart Association recommends no more 25-35 grams of added sugar for adults & 12-25 grams for kids.
Why is sugar a problem? It can contribute to:
Blood pressure issues
Diabetes
Cardiovascular issues
Fatty liver
Chronic inflammation
Hormonal imbalances
Weight gain
