Is this the best burger in Minnesota? Finally made my way over to The Roadside in Blaine, MN!

I was craving a good cheeseburger today, and this did not disappoint! This was their Roadside Smashburger which normally comes plain, but I ordered it “LOADED.” Where they add their animal sauce, pickles, lettuce, onions and tomatoes.

If you’re in the Blaine area this spot is definitely worth checking out! Tons of seating and quick friendly service!

5-8 Grill and Matt’s Bar both claim to have invented it, everyone has their preferences, and many believe The Nook is a heavyweight contender. I for one have had MANY Juicy Lucy’s from The Nook or as they call it a stuffed burger, and I love it. One of the best I’ve ever had! The seasoning is on point, and you know a burger has greatness when it’s good even without sauce..

I’m not in the area as much as I used to be, but I was out there today, and this sounded like a great dinner. It was still a good dinner, but wasn’t the oozing molten hot cheese stuffed burger I was craving. Seems a seam opened up on the back of the burger before I picked it up, and the cheese leaked out. That’s the tricky part about making these!

Since I’ve had dozens of stuffed burgers from The Nook and their other spot Shamrocks over the years I still HIGHLY recommend them. This was a one off rare experience in my book. If the cook was what I remembered I was ready to go into the 9’s. We’ll definitely be back, and be back to Shamrocks to give a review in the near future! I think they’ll definitely show off their heavy weight contender status on the next one. 💪

Just made up a recipe.. kind of a peanut butter cheesecake banana toast.. would also pair well with strawberries or raspberries!

We’re back at my favorite sandwich shop in Minnesota Herban Wolf Deli trying the Skipjack! This is a VERY UNIQUE take on a spicy tuna salad sandwich.

It’s got spicy tuna salad, cilantro, jalapenos, arugula, onion, seasonings, lime, marinated tomato, pesto, chipotle aioli, and chili crisp on griddled Italian bread. It’s served cold but the bread is warm and toasted!

Herban Wolf Deli is an absolute gem of a sandwich shop in historic downtown Anoka, MN!

FINALLY trying Lito’s Burritos at their Uptown location in Minneapolis, MN! This chorizo supreme breakfast burrito for lunch did not disappoint.. I’ll definitely be back for more! One of the best burritos in Minnesota no doubt.
