The Excelsior Fire District is asking our community to help support and come out and cheer on a local firefighter, Doug Foot as he passes through our cities on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17.
Representing MNFIRE, Chanhassen Firefighter, Doug Foot is walking a 200 hundred mile trek through the State of Minnesota as a fundraiser and to heighten awareness of health issues that effect firefighters. His final destination is the Fallen Firefighters Memorial.
TO CHEER Doug on line up on the LRT trail and bring your flags, noise makers, pom-poms, streamer, and encouragement and thanks you signs.
TO SUPPORT Doug jump on the LRT trail and walk along side him as he makes his way to the Fallen Firefighter Memorial at the State Capital

Doug’s multi-day event kicked off on September 12 near Marietta, on the westernmost edge of the state, Doug made his way through numerous Minnesota communities, including Lac Qui Parle, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Meeker, McLeod. On Friday he will be coming through Carver and Hennepin County. He will proceed to Ramsey County and his walk will end counties. His walk will end at the Minnesota Fallen Firefighter Memorial on the grounds of the State Capitol in St. Paul.
