Todd Williams has left the Guitar Factory in Marty's hands. After years of investing everything he had to run a business almost three hours away from his home and family, the stress of it all triggered an anxiety disorder that overwhelmed him.
This page is now the new beginning for Todd, hoping to do what he loves for a living- restoration...instruments, antiques, trash or treasure. The hours would melt away when he was sitting at his bench making something old or broken into a beautiful piece of functional art.
Todd will soon be able to take projects by mail, one at a time, giving each the time, attention and love it needs to become the conversation piece of your home! Please spread the word- if you need anything repaired or restored, instruments to antiques, Todd Williams is a luthier extraordinaire! Goodbye, BB King.... your music will continue to inspire for generations to come. Thank you for that.

BB King was the greatest guitar player in the world. The tone he got out of that guitar, the way he shook his left wrist, the way he squeezed the strings... man, he came out with that and it was all new to the whole guitar playin' world. He could play so smooth, he didn't have to put on a show. The way BB did it is the way we all do it now. He was my best friend and father to us all.

I'll miss you, B. I love you and I promise I will keep these damn Blues alive. Rest well.

Building an aluminum guitar for a customer takes time, patience, knowledge, experience, and love. Every guitar is hand built with care and hand polished to a mirror shine. This is just a peek into the process of building a Spruce Hill aluminum guitar, here at the Guitar Factory.

Todd here, finally my prized Spruce Hill Tele that was built for the Jacksons Family tour is back in my hands again. It's been out in Nashville for 5 mos. with a friend of ours Jacob Rice, a great musician who does recording for Sony. It was played by many studio musicians, popular recording artists and producers during its visit.

The feedback was wonderful stating opinions like: "best Tele ever" and "it's like a Tele on steroids" "it's a got a sound like no other and cuts through the mix when recording"....and that's why I say they are World Class Guitars.

One of the functions of Guitar Factory Repair & Restoration is to serve as the factory service center for Spruce Hill Guitars. I gotta tell you though, it's like being the maytag repairman... Very rare. However, this Reso Tele built in 2006 came in for a modification. Just thought I'd share, it's the only one with its black finish to date.

We at the Guitar Factory are bummed to hear of the passing of Johnny Winter, he was one of the handful of living blues legends.
My favorite is his version of Bony Maronie

A 1965 Gretch chet atkins that had a chunk of fretboard missing before and after.

Whoa, here we go, shameless plug time!......Now is the time to act. Get your loved ones Guitar repaired or restored for the holiday season. Restoration of a vintage instrument is a rigorous project that can take 4-6 weeks but the WOW! factor is so worth it.
I wish i had pictures of our recent customersface at the reveal. I thought I was going to have to pick his eyeballs off the floor.

A great customer of the shop bought this at a garage sale for $5 and immediately brought it over for restoration. It was such a transformation KJ's Eye's almost fell out when he came to pick it up.
