Meet Malik, a long jump state qualifier at Wyandotte Roosevelt High School.

Malik explains how the shoes we gave him made him feel more supported and explosive and how that helped him become a regional champion and state qualifier 🏅

Before partnering with us, many athletes were competing in shoes that were long past their lifespan—lacking the support, traction, and protection needed to keep athletes safe and get them performing at their best.

With proper footwear, not only are athletes better protected, but the program itself is growing. More students are showing up, staying engaged, and stepping confidently into their sport. This is what access looks like. This is what equity in sports looks like.

Our volunteers came together to clean, sort, and prep donated shoes—turning used gear into new opportunities for athletes who need it most. Every pair cleaned is a step toward confidence, access, and a fair shot to compete.

Huge thank you to Coach Dalton and his athletes for showing up with energy, teamwork, and heart. This is what community looks like.
