Skate for Hope is only 10 short days away! This show is always incredible, and this year promises to be no different. I cannot wait for SFH this year, and hope to see you all there too!
Updated poster featuring all headliners! :)
So before my profile becomes inundated with birthday messages, I want to send out a message of my own. If you're feeling generous, all I'd like for my birthday are donations to Skate for Hope. This is an incredible event that I'm so honored to be a part of again this year, and I want to give back as much as possible and keep fighting for a cure to breast cancer. Also, this may (I really hope not, but - being realistic - it might) be the last time I perform on the ice, so if you'd rather, please come attend the event on June 15th in Columbus, Ohio! Thank you.

Even though I'm not a finalist for Intel for Change, you should still check out the videos of these ten amazing students who are hoping to go to Kenya, India, or Ecuador and bring education to girls there. Truly a great cause. =) http://www.takepart.com/intelforchange/contest
Intel for Change | Smart Girls = Smart World | About the Contest Throughout the world, girls do not have the same access to education as boys. This limits not only the girls themselves, but their families and communities around them.
I'm officially a U of M graduate! I can't believe it... now part of the largest alumni network in the world: Alumni Association of the University of Michigan. A great ceremony with my mom and dad present, with wonderful speeches by Anisha Chadha (a fellow Novi grad) and Dick Costolo, and with thankfully finding Lynn ( Lynn Kriengkrairut & Logan Giulietti-Schmitt) to sit next to! :)

So I applied for this opportunity called Intel for Change that will (hopefully) allow me to spend ten days this summer in Kenya, India, or Ecuador to help underdeveloped communities there. I'm leaning towards Kenya... spending ten days digging wells and building schools would be an incredible opportunity to help girls get equal and necessary access to education. Smart Girls = Smart World! Feel free to check out my submission video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-eWQrmJZnU and the Intel for Change website on TakePart.com: http://www.takepart.com/intelforchange. If I'm chosen as a finalist, I may need your help... and if not, then it is a great program that you should at least be aware of! Let's do our part to alleviate poverty. :)
Samuelson Intel for Change Application My application video for Intel for Change (http://www.takepart.com/intelforchange) to hopefully have the opportunity to help communities in Kenya this summer.
I am officially done with my undergraduate education! Only 5 years later, and I'm finally graduating. I couldn't have done it without the support of so many people - thank you all so much. Graduation in three days... and then on to real life!

Very grateful to have been a part of a wonderful Appreciate+Reciprocate benefit dinner, with hilarious conversation from special guests Dhani Jones, Desmond Howard, and Denard Robinson. It was an incredible event and I'm honored to have been a part of it! I hope to participate again next year. I'm also excited to give an hour's skating lesson to Kathy D**g, the winner of this prize from the silent auction - congrats, Kathy!
