This is a common question I get asked! One of the easiest ways to increase our protein is sneaking it in at every meal!

For breakfast, my favorite thing to do is add protein oats! They’re SO delicious and pack a mighty 11g of protein and 7g of fiber! πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Ladies especially, as we age we need to really focus on protein and lifting weights in order to protect our bones and keep our metabolism healthy!

Happy Friday, friends!

When seeing a new practitioner, he/she should always TEST first!

This has come up several times this week so I thought I’d address it. If you see a provider and they start throwing supplements at you first without testing, RUN! You will be wasting your time and money.

Always test, don’t guess! I hope this is helpful to someone!

SKIN!

Did you know, skin is a reflection of the health of our liver? We often times break out due to our livers being over-burdened.

Consider our environment, what we put into our bodies and what we put on our bodies. It is far more than even 20 years ago! Our poor livers can’t keep up with it!

Our livers are our master-detoxification machines πŸ’ͺ🏻 If it gets clogged, it will show up on our skin.

One gentle yet effective way to show your liver some love and to transform your skin is to use milk thistle. I utilize a β€œpulse method”, meaning I use as I feel my body needs it. If I start noticing some unwanted acne, I pop a couple capsules of milk thistle and in a day or two I’m clear as glass! πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»

I’m approaching 43, trying to keep my skin (and my liver) free and clear as I age! Also great for teens! Really, at any age!

Another slam dunk, EASY meal (if you haven’t caught on, I’m a HUGE fan of easy)! This meal helps me crush my macro goals.

44g protein from wild caught, organic tuna
14g of fiber from my fave paleo bread
9g of fat

This will keep me full for hours and help build my muscle that I just worked on this AM πŸ’ͺ🏻πŸ’ͺ🏻πŸ’ͺ🏻

Also notice, not everything Im eating here is β€œorganic”. 😳 Can you believe it?! Living a transformed life means freedom from perfection! We can maintain a well-balanced life in all areas! πŸ™ŒπŸ» Part of one’s full healing journey is not obsessing about what we put into our bodies. No one wants that bo***ge!

As I age (43 this year!), I have been more focused on protein and fiber! This is such an easy go-to meal! 2 whole eggs + 1/3c of egg whites and two pieces of Base Culture bread! Each piece of bread packs in 7g of fiber!! 🀯

The higher protein at each meal helps me build and maintain my muscle as I age! Did you know after the age of 30 we start losing muscle, unless we purposefully build it? 😳
