2011 Camaro Built for Lone Star Drift. Driver/Fabricator: Robby Baldridge
11/07/2022
365 laps, almost 900 miles, 4 drivers and a 1996 Saturn.
Finished up 7th overall, 3rd in class. Organizer’s choice award. Top 25 fastest lap. Unbelievable that this little Saturn drove the way it did.
Car was great(if a little sketchy), drivers were great(at least 3 of them anyways, I’m not a road racer lol).
let’s do it again, that was fun.

We’re up and running!
Picked up a forged bottom end LS3 long block last Saturday with
Leading for a couple of laps last week at ! Definitely going to be able to grip the tires way up if I’m going to use first like this. Fun times!
🎥??? I still don’t know who this passenger was!
I’m not sure if downshifting after the inner clip was faster overall - but damn it sounded better and was easier to drive than this lap in 2nd. The made shifting so much cleaner around the track.
was a blast! This was the first time getting to drive with (who is running our suspension) and the first event with the dogbox in the car. Car felt great, just fought to keep the exhaust on the car all weekend. Can’t wait to see more pictures and videos from the event! was out hanging out on saturday as well, I know he got some 🔥🔥🔥
This was only a couple laps in to downshifting after the inner clip - car was way more driveable like that but I need to work on throttle commitment a bit.
🎥🎥@???? I didn’t catch your name but if you comment I’ll add a tag for you

We’re about 99% of the way to being ready to go for next weekend. Decided to swap in this Rankin 4speed, which ended up taking a little more custom work than I had planned. So far I’ve custom made the shifter setback plate, the shift rods, the shift levers, and the bracket to hold the new transmission mount to the OEM crossmember. I also had to modify the front seal retainer to fit the bellhousing.
Luckily the off the shelf parts I’ve picked up for it have been perfect - had the bellhousing and slave cylinder setup in stock and ready to go, the shifter lever and k**b are awesome, and did a great job with the new shaft using the rear yoke.
When I get back this week I’ll be able to finish bolting the driveshaft up, reinstall the exhaust, and we’ll be ready for a shakedown and the drive to Florida! Can’t wait to see everyone at !
Stoked to see will be back on this layout in a couple weeks! These runs with were a ton of fun, even though I brought a knife to a gun fight when he was leading. Can’t wait to get driving again!
I’ll be there during working in the pits, though unfortunately the paddock is closed from the spectators this year.
flying with us out at the other week. I couldn’t keep up with at all in the rain, need to figure out some setup changes for wet conditions. But it was a fun day despite the conditions.

Knocked out some setup changes on ’s this weekend and setup a full size layout to get some rest laps in. Gave him a few lead laps to practice chasing a (much) slower car, had a great time!
First of hopefully many videos from last weekend! This track was a ton of fun, super flowy layout that was really well suited to our Camaro. Can’t wait to see video from later in the day when we were really pushing!
