We are thrilled to offer Thiessen's Farm (Robbinsville, NC) washed and ready to process fleece, in the shop and online! We have fleece from Bella, a beautiful creamy Shropshire, and from Brownie, a gorgeous brown Shropshire/Rambouillet cross.

I am also carding up some lovely, fluffy batts of Thiessen's Farm fleece, ready for spinning. Come and check out our local wool selection!

We were thrilled and so grateful to have such a lovely group join us for our ribbon cutting with the Andrews NC Chamber of Commerce last Tuesday! We are overwhelmed with all of the support and love we have received so far, and we promise to send it right back out into our community!

So thrilled with my results at an Indigo and Shibori Workshop with Suzanne Connors of Aya Fiber Studio! We had a gorgeous day, learned the ins and outs of working with indigo, and made some lovely shibori pieces. Of course, I had to bring some yarn to dye!

We have a few skeins of 80/20 Shaniko wool/silk, worsted and sport weight and 75/25 cotton/wool fi*****ng weight yarn up for grabs at the shop!

Suzanne is here for the summer, and is offering more indigo, shibori, and eco-printing workshops through Aya Fiber Studio, Olive's Porch, and the John C. Campbell Folk School. Check out their class Schedules online and register for an amazing workshop!

The Hoppy Trout is proud to announce that our next round of “round up” donations will go to the Andrews public library.

We first started the round up program for the cultural arts center, and our second round was for the local VFW; it only makes sense, that we now work to help the local public library.

Each visit to the library leaves me inspired by its incredible atmosphere. On my last visit, while delivering pizzas, I witnessed a group of children sitting attentively in a circle, captivated by the librarian's storytelling—a powerful testament to the courage and patience it takes to educate our children through both actions and words.

Donating to the Andrews, North Carolina public library provides essential resources and educational materials that foster a love for reading and learning among local children.
Your contribution helps create a vibrant community hub where kids can explore, imagine, and grow intellectually.
