OC Community Cats is dedicated to help heal the stray cat crisis of OC thru TNR & colony care. We formed in January of 2015. Can you foster kittens?

We at the OC Community Cats are devoted to the care and well being of the Community Cats of North Orange County. We spay/neuter homeless cats (TNR), rescue friendly cats and kittens off the streets and provide food and veterinary care. But we are a small organization and we need your help to grow and help more cats! Can you help with TNR/Trapping? Can you donate for food and supplies? We hope to h

HELP FOR ZIPPER! She needs surgery!

Sweet Zipper is one of our community cats who suffered horrific injuries while living at her colony.

We aren't sure how it happened, but somehow her back left leg was severed off about 2 in from the foot, and her left front foot was so severely damaged and broken that it had to be amputated.

We don't think this was intentional. We think it was an accident that happened because she was living in the yard of a business that made things out of steel and other metals.. we think something was set down and they didn't realize that she was laying with those legs sticking out.

After evading us for at least 2 weeks, Zipper was finally rescued and treated by one of our amazing vets who tried to save the back leg. Unfortunately, the wound was reopening and bone was being exposed. Now Zipper is scheduled to have the back left leg amputated next week on 6/24/26.

This is an expensive surgery, but we think it will help Zipper's quality of life. If you are able to help us with the funds for Zipper's surgery, here are ways to donate:

As always, your support is greatly appreciated. It is with your help that we can help cats like Zipper.

She is being kept comfortable with pain medications and fresh bandages. She is being fostered by one of our volunteers who is a veterinary technician, so very qualified to care for Zipper.

Thank you!

PLEASE HELP US GET FIXED & VACCINATED! WE ALSO NEED A FOSTER!

Sweet kittens Dusty Springfield & Bobbie Gentry were dumped at two of our managed colonies where everyone is fixed and there should be no kittens. We were able to scoop them up and get them to safety.

They are getting fixed and vaccinated this weekend, and then they need a place to go where they can play and grow and become more socialized. These are not feral kittens. They are allowing petting. They just need more human touch.

If you can donate toward their vet bill, we are trying to raise $100 per kitten. Here are ways you can donate:

CAT RECOVERY HELP NEEDED - NORTH OC or NEARBY PREFERRED. SOUTH COUNTY OK TOO!

We need a few cat savvy community members who are willing to help hold community cats for recovery.

This could be for a few days or a few weeks, depending on the situation.

This could be in crates such as shown above, or cats in traps who are being fixed for TNR.

- you should be 18 or over, very responsible, and live preferably in or near North Orange County, but we also could use somebody in South Orange County.

- You need a spare room, secure garage or back patio that is covered and out of the weather.

- Safety from predators is very important. So if you live in an area where you have coyotes in your backyard, this is not a good idea

- a Folding plastic picnic table or two to put the crates or traps on is very important. We can provide these for you.

- We can also provide crates, carriers or feral dens, trap forks, mosquito netting, sheet covers or blankets, litter boxes, scoops, dishes that attach to the sided of the crate or fit in the traps, potty pads, litter, food. If you already have some of these things and you're willing to use them, great, otherwise we can provide.

- you provide the safe space and the daily care. Generally that is feeding and watering the cat twice a day, cleaning the litter box or changing the potty pads once a day. Sometimes more if needed. sometimes giving medications in the food, visually monitoring healing of wounds, sometimes monitoring urine or f***l, etc.

You would be guided by our volunteers the entire time. We will come help when it's time to get cats back into traps or take them to the vet.

At this time we have one volunteer in our organization who does this. She is currently at capacity and there are cats who need vet care and recovery time. We can't help them unless they have a place to go.

If you would like to help with this very important component of our organization, please text our business line 714-866-8075 for the fastest response. You can also send a message here or email us at [email protected].

Thank you and please share.

BBC NEEDS TO RETIRE FROM STREET LIFE - OC OR NEARBY

***WARNING - PHOTOS 3 & 4 ARE GRAPHIC***

BBC (Big Black Cat) Is a very handsome neutered male cat from one of our managed colonies. Recently he injured himself badly and had to be trapped and the wound stitched up. This is actually the 2nd time he has done this in 6 months! Last time was October 2025.

We are not sure how he is injuring himself, but we are very concerned that it will happen again and we will not be able to catch him. It was very difficult to get him this time and now he is extremely trap savvy.

So it is time for him to retire and get off the street. We are looking for a kind person who is willing to give him a home, either indoors as a house feral, or in a catio.

If you don't have an existing catio, we can purchase one like the one pictured here. We can build it and mount it on a platform that has locking caster wheels so it can be moved if needed. We can provide any other supplies or equipment that are needed, as well as food, litter and any future vet care. You would simply be the long-term Foster, responsible for daily food and water, health monitoring, cleaning litter box & catio, and ensuring he is safe.

If you would like to help BBC in this way:

You should be in or near Orange County, CA

Have a secure backyard with a covered patio

Be able to go in & out of a small door ( about 4' tall & 18" wide)

Or be willing to let him be in your house as a house feral. He would need to start in a small room for several months.

If you can help BBC, please contact us here, or send an email to [email protected]
Or text our business line 714-866-8075

We will be posting a fundraiser for him later. We're waiting for the vet to finalize his vet bill.

Thank you!

Hi, I’m Kona 🐾

I’ve spent my life as a community kitty, but I’m ready for my next chapter — the one where I discover just how wonderful indoor life can be!!!

I’m young, friendly, sweet, and affectionate, and my rescue volunteer says I have all the makings of an amazing housecat.

What I need now is a special foster human who can help me learn the good life: soft beds, cozy naps, playtime, patience, and lots of love.

Someone willing to get to know me, help me feel safe, and show me what it means to truly belong.

The good news? My rescue team will provide all my vet care, food, and litter.

All you need to provide is a safe place for me to land while I wait for my furever family to find me.

In return, I promise purrs, companionship, adorable moments, and the chance to watch me blossom into the spoiled housecat I was always meant to be. 💛

Could you be the person who changes my life forever?

If you’d like to foster me please email [email protected] to learn more about how fostering for OC Community Cats works and to get a foster application.

OOGIE BOOGIE UPDATE

He is staying at the ER over the weekend. Getting supportive care. He's being fed with an NG tube. Today he will have an ultrasound. The bill posted here is today's bill. The one we posted yesterday was just for his first 24 hours. So you can see, it's very expensive, but he needs the care and services they provide.

Hopefully he'll continue to be stable. Hopefully there won't be anything really bad on the ultrasound. The plan is to move him to our primary care vet Monday morning.

If you are able to help with his medical care, here are ways to donate:

HELP FOR OOGIE BOOGIE! HE'S AT THE EMERGENCY ANIMAL HOSPITAL!

Oogie Boogie is a sweet, loving hunk of a kitty. He's usually cheerful and cuddly. His foster parents noticed he was lethargic, constipated, and did not want to eat.

He went to the vet today and after blood work was done, it was discovered that he is in liver failure! They are not a 24-hour facility, so we had to take him to the emergency animal hospital for the weekend.

The bill posted here in the 2nd photo is just for the first 24 hours. There will be more charges after tomorrow. He will see our regular vet on Monday morning. We are praying that he will improve over the weekend.

If you can help toward Oogie Boogie's vet bills, we would be so grateful. We haven't even included what was charged today earlier and we have no idea what the bill will be like when he goes to our regular vet on Monday.....

Anything will help. Here are ways to donate:
