Douglas Edward Nussbaum Obituary April 10, 2026 - Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory 05/06/2026

It is with great sadness that we share of Doug Nussbaum's passing. Doug had attended day hab for more than a decade before his passing. Doug was known for his immense strength despite his small stature. It was almost as if he used each health challenge or hospitalization as a way to, almost spitefully, show off just how strong and tough he really was. To get a hug from Doug was at times body crushing but soul lifting. He will be greatly missed for his strong voice, tender smile and his unwavering commitment to delivering greeting cards every Friday to anyone who he deemed worthy.

Doug's visitation will be held this Friday, May 8th at 5pm with a memorial service on Saturday, May 9th at 11am at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale. More information is available at the link below.

Please keep Doug's family, friends, and his staff in your thoughts during this time.

Our Villa Vista ladies out at Easter Lake park! They were able to beat the rain for a nice walk along the trail- and of course had to snap some pictures at Owen's Covered Bridge.

It was a night to remember! ✨ Our members had a great time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church's Night to Shine Event. Members looked incredible walking the red carpet and later showing off their moves on the dance floor. Thank you to Sacred Heart for hosting such a beautiful event!
