The mission of the Harrington Library Consortium is to strengthen and promote excellent library services among our member libraries. The Consortium provides library automation products and services, training and continuing education, exploration of innovative technologies and products, and library business intelligence for informed decision-making. The Consortium helps realize the potential of its member libraries through resource sharing, cost savings, and member collaboration.

Today marks the first day of Spring! Spring begins on the vernal equinox each year, usually somewhere between March 19th and March 21st. What is the vernal equinox you ask? Well...vernal is Latin for spring, and equinox means equal night. So today, we experience equal amounts of daylight and night then we see our days start to get longer as we get ready for Summer!

We're so excited and pleased to announce that Unger Memorial Library, along with PBS Texas Tech Public Media, will be hosting Clifford, the Big Red Dog, on Saturday, February 10th at 1:00 p.m. at the Library, 825 N. Austin!

The event will include storytime, book giveaways, a PBS kids screening, a meet and greet, and photo opportunities with Clifford, the Big Red Dog.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
