The Road Home - Shot on the way back to Amarillo from northeast New Mexico two weekends ago. I had just driven out from under a huge thunderstorm, and I was heading towards more in the Amarillo area. - eastern Harding County, New Mexico, USA

Greetings from FRITO. - I was strolling around near my mom's house in Fritch, TX early last month. There were some thunderheads a long ways away to the northeast that caught the sunset light. I think I get bonus points for catching the Fritch water tower at the perfect angle, from which it appears to say "FRITO."

Thanks to all who voted and to Partners in Palo Duro Canyon Foundation for running the annual Palo Duro Canyon photo contest. These were my entries for the wildlife and landscape categories We'll see what shots I can conjure up for next year, and we'll see if I have any entries for "plants" and "people" next time (I didn't this year). :)
