Sunday Supper
Sunday Supper is a soup kitchen and food pantry in Alpena, MI that serves thousands of guests each year. For more information, call (989) 356-0576.
Sunday Supper was created in 1997 by Ellen Eagan, Kathryn Kunze, and the Rev. Barbara Morgan when they discovered there were no free meal options for the hungry of Northeastern Michigan on Sundays. Operated by volunteers and funded with donations, Sunday Supper welcomes anyone who seeks a good meal and good company. Guests are welcome every Sunday, including holidays, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM for d
The food programs at Trinity Episcopal Church—the pantry, as well Sunday Supper—are immensely grateful to the Alpena Democratic Party for its delivery of hundreds of non-perishable food items collected in their food drive earlier today.
Recently we have noticed a significant increase in the number of people in our community seeking help, the threat to SNAP as well as inflationary food prices fueling food insecurity. For many working people there is a real challenge to stretching the budget for food to the end of the month.
Thank you to all who contributed today. Alpena is a generous comunity that reaches out to its own. We and those whom we serve are deeply appreciative.

Did you know that there is a "Blessing Box" out front of Trinity Episcopal Church that provides free personal care items for people in need? We'd love for the Alpena community to help donate full size, unopened toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, etc.) as well as new/unopened first aid kits, toothbrushes, toothpaste, wipes, hand sanitizer, deodorant, feminine care products, baby items, etc. Just pull up out front of the office entrance (where Sunday Supper is held) and place your donations in the box for the community. If you have food donations, diapers, toilet paper, and other larger items you'd like to donate, please bring them in during office hours or contact the church at (989) 356-0576. Thank you for blessing others!
