The Jam Session šŸŽ™ļø
We take the mic on the road, chasing down the most powerful redemption stories in America.

From small towns to big cities, we sit face-to-face with people who’ve been through the fire, met Jesus, and now light up the world with hope.

I always prefer to talk about what I’m for rather than what I’m against.

While I understand the theological discussion surrounding the office of pastor, I also believe Scripture is clear that God has consistently used women to proclaim His truth, share the Gospel, and impact lives for His Kingdom.

Throughout both the Old and New Testaments, God used women in powerful ways. Deborah led, Esther helped save a nation, Priscilla taught, Phoebe served the early church, and the Samaritan woman shared the good news of Jesus with her entire community.

And then there is Acts 2:17:

ā€œIn the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy.ā€

Sons and daughters.

Men and women.

If there was ever a time when the world needed more people sharing the hope of Jesus, it is now.

No decision made by man will ever diminish a voice that God has called and raised up.

I am for women sharing the Gospel.

I am for women teaching truth.

I am for women boldly testifying to what Jesus has done in their lives.

And I am for every person—man or woman—who has been called by God to make His name known to a world that desperately needs Him.

The harvest is too great, and the hope of Jesus is too important, for any willing voice to remain silent.

I understand the debate surrounding women serving as pastors. That is a separate conversation, and one that sincere believers have wrestled with for generations. But I also believe Scripture is clear that God has consistently used women to proclaim His truth, share the Gospel, encourage believers, and impact lives for His Kingdom.

No words worshiping tonight with my sister. We grew up singing as a family. One of my brothers wrote this song and it’s one of the most powerful songs I have ever heard. Worship just wrecks you. The glory of God is so beyond our greatest imagination.

Pilates got me thinking today…

There were a few moments where I was shaking, my muscles were burning, and I was questioning why I voluntarily signed up for this. šŸ˜‚

But isn’t life kind of the same?

Sometimes God asks us to keep going when we’re tired. To trust Him when we can’t see the outcome. To hold on a little longer when everything in us wants to quit.

The truth is, strength isn’t built when things are easy. It’s built in the resistance.

If you’re walking through something hard right now, don’t give up. You may be stronger than you realize, and God may be doing some of His best work in the middle of the struggle.

One more rep. One more prayer. One more step forward.

You’ve got this. And more importantly, God’s got you. ā¤ļø

What a pure sweetness visiting MTN Church this morning here in Las Vegas. It reminded me so much of growing up in the ā€œJesus Movementā€. Just the simple gospel, simple worship not about performance but about true praise to God and so focused on community. Samuel Goulet brought the word with such authenticity. Such a blessing to see father and son both at the altar as the service came to a close.

Jen and my sister were both two years old, and I was four when we all met for the first time. We’ve literally grown up together.

We still call ourselves the Heron Gang. We were the kids running up and down the street playing kickball, walking the fences, playing Barbies, catching h***y toads in the desert, and just being kids. Looking back, it was such a gift. Kids don’t seem to get that kind of childhood much anymore.

What amazes me is that all these years later, we’re still here.

There are very few friendships in life where you can walk into someone’s house and it feels like your own. Where no matter how much time has passed, you just pick right back up where you left off. That’s what we have.

And if there has ever been a season in my life where my heart was hurting, where life felt overwhelming, or where I was walking through something difficult, this girl has always been there. She was there when we were little girls, and she’s still there today.

I don’t take friendships like this for granted. They are rare. They are precious. And they are a gift from God.

Forever girlfriends. Sisters by choice. Friends for life.

Now if we can just get our beautiful sister friend Brenda out here we’ll have the whole gang back together again. ā¤ļø WE LOVE YOU JEN! šŸ’œ

Today was a reminder that life can change in an instant. (Swipe right to see the shredded tire. Crazy!)

My sister Chris and I were driving to Las Vegas to be with a dear friend who is walking through a difficult season. About 20 minutes outside of Vegas, the car suddenly started swerving. At first, I thought it was the road, but then Chris looked in the mirror and saw pieces of the tire flying off.
We were having a blowout at 80 mph.

By God’s grace, I was able to get safely across traffic and pull into the only safe area available before construction barriers began. By the time we stopped, the tire was completely shredded.

As we waited for help, a Highway Patrol officer named John stayed with us, and later a tow truck driver named Shawn arrived. What could have been a stressful interruption turned into something entirely different.
We heard pieces of their stories, talked about faith, and asked how we could pray for them. Both men asked for prayer for protection as they face difficult and often dangerous situations every day.
Driving away, I couldn’t help but think about how differently the day could have gone.
I’m grateful for my sister’s quick thinking. Grateful for God’s protection. Grateful for the people He puts in our path.
Sometimes what looks like an interruption is actually a divine appointment.

Today was one of those days. ā¤ļøšŸ™
