Spot the 🐱!

Meet Cookie, our *unofficial* station mascot and rodent exterminator! She was born right here in our back parking lot about 8 or 9 months ago and decided to make it her home.

She has a twin brother, Cream who makes occasional visits, and YES they have both been fixed! (You can see her clipped ear if you zoom in)

Looks like she’s trying to take the storm tracker out and help us track these storms over the next few days!

Make sure to tune into KALB News Channel 5’s Midday today for my latest forecast on the incoming active weather. Chief Meteorologist Jobie Lagrange will have your late afternoon/evening weather updates!

🌧️ We saw some much-needed rainfall in *a couple* areas of Cenla yesterday! 🌧️

While most parts of the region only saw trace amounts, a couple of hot spots saw over 4 inches! These were the hit-or-miss storms we have been talking about.

The two main hot spots were in Natchitoches and Vernon parishes. Over 4 inches of rain was observed in Natchitoches Parish, SE of Provencal, along with in SW Vernon Parish, next to the state line.

*Parts* of Rapides, Sabine, Grant, Avoyelles, St. Landry, Allen, and Beauregard Parishes also received 1-2+ inches.

If you are in one of the areas that have not seen rain yet, more is on the way over the next few days, but coverage will likely remain isolated to scattered (hit-or-miss).

Have you seen any rain in your location? Let me know down below with your general location. ⬇️

Rocking earth tones for Earth Day! 🩵💚🤎

Did you know that Earth Day was founded by a US senator back in the 70’s? Wisconsin Senator Ga***rd Nelson wanted to bring attention to environmental issues, like pollution, and began the modern environmental movement in 1970.

The first Earth day actually led to the creation of the EPA, how cool!
