Dreams of Clay
Finally took pictures of my mushroom dice tower! I normally do dice roll videos, and I really like this one.
Showing off a new dice tower! This one is straight up bling with all that gold.

Using art is a quiet form of resistance. In “using art” I mean all art, literature, games, handmade dishes, coloring books, clothes, and by using I mean taking part. These things connect us, and give us whimsy and elegance in hard times. They make the challenges worth it. So please, use your expensive mug while you color and listen to books.

Stardew Valley Stardrop mugs!
I adore how these turned out, they are one of the few things I find my self making over and over again. A little like playing the game.
I actually made four, but the peach and pink one sold.

I spent 10 hours in the ER Monday. I’m ok, but this mug hits different today. I’ve been in the hospital more this past year than most of my life. This time, I feel like I got answers for a lot of pain and self gaslighting. I’m hoping I can get treatment as well. I’m grateful I have good insurance and a good support group.

Mini Nuke!
This sugarbomb was an interesting challenge I worked on. Getting the base and the look just right was a mix of knowledge, skill and luck and like many good pieces, it took a while. There also the different brands of underglaze, a terra sig and both iron and copper oxide. Then there was ^6 gas reduction firing, which I led in a difficult kiln. I don’t get it when people question fan art as art, or pottery as art. There are so many skills that go into being a good potter, patience and learning are the two that you can constantly work on.

It’s Thursday and let’s be real, I’m still not over the LvL 2 Jester mug. It brings me so much joy. I strive to make what I love, and I rarely remake things. I was inspired to make this, to remind mind me when I was nervous during the conference, that I had already succeeded. It was so amazing to bring this to life, better than before. I’m not sure what I’ll do with this one.

I made this locking jar at a workshop at in October. It was absolutely amazing, I learned so much and I love that studio!
It took me forever to finish due to the luster, and only got its final firing before NCECA. I did tell Andrew Clark I’d show him, but as I didn’t catch him at NCECA, so I’m hoping he’ll see it here.
This workshop has been much on mind with my latest project. While completely different styles, I too like to tinker. I’m putting together a MtG token with a spinning number dial, and this workshop is where I’m starting mentally. Probably why I even have the audacity.
