Team Liam
Liam is a Kawasaki Disease warrior! He had KD at 3 months old, almost lost his heart then. A miracle saved it. He had triple bypass surgery in 2021! 💪🏼
Liam Paul McKeehan is a baby who delivers us God's miracles in his recovery every day. This sweet baby was 3.5 months old when he suffered a heart attack on Thursday, July 31st, 2014 and was rushed to the hospital only later to be airlifted to Children's Hospital of Colorado. There he underwent treatment for misdiagnosed Kawasaki Disease that left his tiny heart with giant aneurysms and blockages

Just wanted to share a little life update!
Liam is enjoying theater these days. Performance is his passion! He loves music, too! Last semester, he was in the NMYA major musical production of Enchanted Sleeping Beauty. This semester he is Hansel in Hansel and Gretel! ❤️
Look at the big boy! We’re so proud of you, Liam!

Liam dump!
Just wanted to share a little post to those who’ve always loved our big boy!
This boy has been growing like a w**d, traveling, living life to the fullest, learning all the things, and finding new interests!
He’s currently taking drama classes because when he grows up, he wants to be in the film industry as a director/actor/filmmaker!
He’s an amazing big brother, an incredibly kind friend, and as gentle and wonderful as they come.
I just wanted to share a quick update since it’s been YEARS already since we’ve said hi to you all!
So hi!! ❤️❤️

One year ago today, at right about this time, daddy and I were pacing a labyrinth, so desperately waiting to hear that you were out of heart surgery and stable. We knew the surgery had been completed, but it had been hours since we heard anything.
Liam, you are by far the strongest child I know. Your heart that is so kind and deep will serve you forever.
From your first few months of life, you have shown us that life is fragile, but wonderful and not for wasting! For that, we will forever and ever be grateful. You’ve taught us not to stress the little things and what it means to truly and deeply appreciate what you have. We live life bigger and wilder because of YOU!
Here’s to every moment going forward with you! Our amazing healthy strong-hearted boy! ❤️❤️❤️
Here’s to 1 year!

Happy birthday to our big, strong, amazing boy!
His birthday party was just perfect! Cake and playing outside at the park and he got to share a whole theater with just his friends and family to see Sonic 2!
Boy, was 7 a year for the books! We’re so lucky to have all that “excitement” behind us while we look forward to amazing things!
Liam Paul, you are our sun, moon, and stars. The strongest and most resilient kid we have ever known! You deserve the world, and yet you’re willing to settle for so little. You’re kind hearted, empathetic, and full of love. Anybody in this life will be lucky to call you friend because you care so deeply.
You are pure good, my love. Never ever change. ❤️
Happy big number 8 baby boy! (Officially 8 tomorrow!!)

Happy Halloween!!
Liam decided to be none other than a heart surgeon!! 😱😂❤️
And it wouldn’t be a Liam Halloween costume if it had no extra bloody theatrics. 😬😂

All is well! His grafts look great, his function is amazing, and he has grown and half inch and gained FIVE pounds since his surgery! Yay for our strong boy! 💪🏼❤️
He’ll have an echo in 3 months and a stress test in 6 as routine post-surgery tests!

Happy half baby boy! He’s officially 7 and a half!
We’re on our way to Denver for his 8 week post-op! We always celebrate his halves since he was a baby. Now we celebrate Finn’s, too!
There’s gonna have to be a donut for this boy in here somewhere to celebrate his official half! 🍩
He decided the symbol he’s holding up is a half and had a whole explanation as to why that I honestly couldn’t explain if I tried. 😂

He’s doing so well guys… ❤️❤️
After 1 stress test, 3 covid swabs, 9 echos, 8 IVs, 4 X-rays, 1 CT, 1 MRI, 1 heart cath, 1 urine catheter, 4 chest tubes, On a ventilator, 20+ blood draws, A Triple bypass, fluid drained from around his heart and 21 total days in the hospital…
Our son finally gets to go home!

In the echo now! The echo tech checked for fluid right away and said that looks normal! ❤️😭
They’re doing the rest of the images now to check everything out. Waiting to talk with Dr. Jone after the echo and hopefully she has the same info as the echo tech!
We’ll breathe when we hear Dr. Jone’s words…
Please pray for good things tomorrow (today, now). This mama ain’t gonna sleep well until we get the all clear.
It’s time for our family to go home. It’s time for Liam to catch a break. It’s time tor Finn to remember what stability is. His toddler brain is wildly confused at this point. Liam has been so strong. It’s time for him to get the “ALL CLEAR!” He deserves it!
Please pray for us tomorrow. Whatever your belief system may be. Pray, meditate, think positive, send silent positive bright healing energy, etc. There is power in numbers when it comes to prayer!
No more fluid. Heart looks great! He’s ready to go home.
That’s all we need to hear.
Keep us in your thoughts tomorrow as we wait alllll day until late afternoon (3:30) for his appointment. 😅
