You can tell yourself a hundred times that you can’t or shouldn’t do something.
..but start to follow that ONE time you tell yourself to go for it.
See what starts to happen.

I just taught my first continuing education course!!
Wahwahhh!!!

I am beyond thrilled, beyond grateful for the students that came, and eternally in awe at what I can do when the voice of YES I CAN speaks louder.

This is the beginning. ✨🙏 @ The Source Health and Community Wabi-Sabi Oasis

DOING IT - I’m teaching my first massage therapy CEU course tomorrow. I feel SO thrown out of the nest, yet completely on the path that’s meant for me. I’m asking, compelling myself to grow into the person that I want to be for myself and for others. Sure, I’ll be teaching my students lots of info about self care and the subtle body, but more importantly I’m exposing my self, instigating a space for collective healing and vulnerability. I’ve had to do a lot of growth and introspection just in preparation for this first class; by teaching the work we ARE the work. May this be the first course of MANY. 🙏💚

Facebook showed me that 3 years ago today, this was my view of the world. I sailed the high seas of the Columbia River as a massage and yoga pirate, and I truly loved that identity. However, 2 years ago I was in Albuquerque with my own business. 1 year ago I was working in remote Alaska. Today I went to the dentist during a pandemic. You never know what’s around the corner, or how our identities will change over time. Stay open to the shift, change is literally the only thing that will ever happen. 🙏💚

...and another backyard massage with sunflowers! I’ve been slowly getting back into massage, with seeing just friends/family in their yards, masks-on. It has already MAJORly shifted my experience of life right now, to sink back in to my profession-passion, to be of help and service, and to focus my intention more around stress and trauma release. I love this work. My clients love this work. Everything is going to be okay. 💚🙏

Polar, you’ve been my ride or die through these courses. I’ve been taking a number of cultural competency and racism trainings to make sure that I have the tools that I need to speak effectively and accurately within the massage/wellness world. Making progress. This one was quite good; PLUS it’s a FREE Ethics CEU for LMT’s if you take it through the end of this month, and there’s a free version for the general public. Take a few hours out of your life for this one. Go to reach4ce dot org to take it.

Well, here we go!! I’m teaching my first CEU Course sooner than I thought, due to time-sensitivity of license renewals coming up.

It’s so thrilling and weird to teach something that came just from my head. These are profound healing practices that have greatly altered my life, that I put together in a way that makes sense to me. And now here we are, able to experience them together for professional credits.

Due to social distancing, space is very limited. The class is half full already. DM me to sign up today!

-This course is limited to Massage Therapists only- stay tuned for another session in September that I’ll open up to EVERYone!-

I should be high as a kite right now. I just scored all of these high-quality essential oils at bulk cost!

But the reason for the sale is that my legendary, profoundly transformative massage school has gone under. COVID hastened an already precarious situation for them.

In addition, the pandemic has caused the only other holistically-minded school in New Mexico to close their doors (will they re-open? Who knows.)

My feelings around my school closing are so complicated; I’m grieving the loss of an amazingly special space that transformed my life, and the lives of hundreds of other practitioners. I’m grieving the way that energetic and ‘woo-woo’ education is becoming harder and harder to come by, pushed to the most fringe spaces.

I’m also curious and excited about the potential that this gives others to build something in it’s place. Post-pandemic, when the dust settles, something will arise from the ashes. I’m sure of it.

For now, goodbye and thank you, New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. 💚🙏

Holy CRAP, this is me!!! I am now a Massage Therapy CEU Approved Provider!!! It has taken a LOT of work for this to be reality, but it’s showing me the hustle and perseverance is worth it and is paying off. Me. I did this. Several months of course design and digging deep, 1 month later I taught the course, and 4 months later it was approved. This s**t takes TIME, but it’s worth it; this is the most important work of my life so far. I have one approved course (details coming soon!) and several more that I am now on FIRE to design. Keep going, y’all!!! 💪🏼💚😍

This young man was killed last year. We are learning about it now. Does this one cut deeper because he too was a massage therapist who lived just one state over, in a town that I know? I think so; my rage has a few origins. Because I’ve also noticed, in the now-trending murder, that NO national massage organization has posted about Elijah. Almost no org has even acknowledged or has taken an anti-racist stance. This is absolutely disgusting. We are living in a white-woman-wellness world and we HAVE to change this complicit industry. The public health crisis of racism is alive and well within ‘wellness’. **kwhitesupremacy

Timeline photos 06/24/2020

I have been quiet here lately; mostly because my move back to Albuquerque, after a year of travel and in the midst of a pandemic, has been much more turbulent than I had imagined it could be. I’ve felt paralyzed, with so many thoughts and ideas swimming in my head but not wanting to f**k up on this platform. And now, with the crisis of systemic racism also being more visible and crucial to dismantle, the only way I can truly f**k up is by staying silent. I commit myself, as a white voice in the wellness, massage therapy, and yoga teacher world, to work towards changing my-self, being actively anti-racist, and changing the wellness industry. Much more to come. 🖤🙏 **kwhitesupremacy
