🩷 A small fundraiser is generously being hosted for the animals in our program, and items range in price from a few dollars to a few thousand dollars.
This incredible vintage Native American turquoise cuff & ring set are one of the finer item listings; the proceeds of an item like this help pay for part of a more invasive surgery or procedure on a dog in our program.
Please feel free to visit the auction for fun, and share with friends; it ends on June 21.

🩷 Now that the summer heat is in full effect (and especially here in the desert Southwest 😅), we thought to feature this wonderful item available through the online fundraiser being held for dogs. This is a faux fur and pink corduroy dog trapper hat. The hat is thick and full of detail; it also is ergonomic and actually stays comfortably attached to a dog's head (wide velcro-attached chin strap).
Auction now through 6/21, the direct link to this hat is below.
Thank you for your support! 🩷

🩷 Hello friends, it's us, your tiny (and mostly absent-from-the-socials) team at TPWR.
During our long stint offline, there have been so many dogs (and a few cats!) whom we have neglected to share with you all here. And admittedly, that number is likely just shy of two hundred animals. Eek!
If you're familiar with the volume of medical-needs animals we take in (and the level of care they require), sharing to social media has unfortunately remained low on the priority list. And although we very much miss the engagement with and encouragement received by so many, what matters most to us in sharing the animals in our program with you is what it means for each of them: more people who know them, more people who send love & healing energy their way, and more people to be their champions through all of the time each of them spends in our care- whether that be through adoption or through loving hospice.
And so today we'd like to introduce you to our newest intake, Yosemite. This young male Weimaraner comes to us from a shelter partner in northern New Mexico. Yosemite (or Yo-Yo) had the opportunity to initially be fostered by a Weimaraner-loving law enforcement officer (thank you, K!), and it was an honor to work with them. While we don't know much about Yo-Yo's history, we were able to secure a very loving place for him in our only available foster home. And a huge thanks is also in order for his rescue foster family!
We plan to share more photos and updates as this young man settles into foster care.
Welcome to rescue, Yo-Yo-semite! 🩷

Our friends over at Tarheel Weimaraner Rescue are in need of support to provide life-saving exploratory surgery for just one of the emergency medical-needs animals in their program. This sweet girl is Fibi.
If you’re able, please consider a tax-deductible donation to their program!

Fibi Update 💔
Today has been a very long and emotional day for sweet Fibi. Unfortunately, she was still feeling lethargic this morning and was not acting like herself. In fact, she seemed to be getting worse instead of improving, so her foster family immediately took her to CARE in Charlotte, our emergency specialty hospital.
For those that may not know, CARE is one of the best specialty and emergency facilities around and has every type of specialist and surgeon you could possibly need when things go wrong. We are incredibly thankful that Fibi is there and in such good hands right now.
She has been at the hospital since this morning undergoing extensive testing including bloodwork and an abdominal ultrasound. During the ultrasound, the doctors discovered a mass in her abdomen. Right now, we simply do not know exactly what it is. It could potentially be a cyst, a hematoma, an infection, or something entirely different. At this point, the only way to get answers and help Fibi is exploratory surgery, which she is scheduled to undergo tomorrow.
Please continue to pray for this sweet girl tonight and tomorrow morning. She has already been through so much in her short time with us, and all we want is to get her healthy, comfortable, and back home with her foster family where she is loved so deeply.
The estimated cost for Fibi’s surgery and hospitalization could reach up to $8,000. With three dogs currently in medical care, the rescue could truly use support right now. If you are able to donate, share this post, or simply keep Fibi in your thoughts, we would appreciate it more than you know.

No matter what happens, Fibi WILL get the care she needs. We will find a way. We always do.
We will update everyone again tomorrow as soon as we know more after surgery. 💙

We are now going on sweet 16 years of federal recognition as a 501(c)(3) organization.
If you have followed us for some time, you'll know that we have taken in other breeds, cats, and mixes, to now include Goldendoodles.

❤ Tilly is one of a number of Weimaraners currently in our care, and we are looking for sponsorship for her spay surgery and vetting.
The care for the dogs always comes first, which leaves our small team very little time to feature the majority of the dogs who come through our program.
While we are working to ensure Tilly is comfortably on the mend, we need your help: please consider making a tax-deductible donation towards our expenses, which are thousands of dollars each month.
