Personal trainers are a bit weird.

Someone sent me this video, and said that this kind of attitude from fitness professionals would have deterred them from going to the gym.

Which actually brings up a really important point.

Because if the attitude of some fitness professionals are deterring some people from wanting to go to the gym, isn’t that literally the opposite of the intended goal? You know, when someone is being ‘motivational’ but it actually puts some people off.

No hate for the original creator, he goes on to explain the benefits of exercise which I largely agree with.

But, you have to admit that the overall fitness industry trend of immediately calling people lazy probably doesn’t have the desired effect that people think it does, for most people.

When you think about it, it’s kind of funny that this attitude runs rampant throughout the fitness industry, and then we act surprised when people think the fitness industry has a bad reputation for being unapproachable.

Just food for thought.
