I felt ✨especially✨ driven to super boost the Library's children section after my best friend introduced me to this "A Kid's Book About..." series. We sat together and read a few to one another one night and the amount of radical healing that we both felt take seed that night was so powerful that I started looking for as many topics in the series as I could find.

The People's Library ABQ *proudly* stands with Sophie Labelle of Assigned Male Comics in ALL areas of her life.

We vehemently believe:

• EVERYONE deserves access to the full spectrum of pleasure--from the wholesome to the NSFW

This library will remain a safe and inclusive space, bringing you works from the radical left, the disenfranchised, and the historically othered and ignored.

We will be outspoken in our defense of all those who stand for a better world and we are absolutely THRILLED to carry the below comics by Sophie.

bell hooks died today at the age of 69 and I'm positively heartbroken about it. I will definitely be checking out one of her books from the Library and giving it a re-read this week.
