A lot of countries have been experimenting with shorter work weeks — not cutting pay, just cutting the hours — and the results have been surprising in a good way.

Here are some key outcomes reported from major real-world trials in places like Iceland, the UK, Spain, and major companies like Microsoft Japan:

🔹 Productivity stayed the same or improved in most workplaces
🔹 Burnout and stress dropped massively
🔹 Workers took fewer sick days
🔹 Family time increased — parents actually had time to be present
🔹 Companies saved money from lower turnover and higher morale
🔹 People reported better physical and mental health
🔹 Employees were more focused because they weren’t exhausted every day

In Iceland’s case, over 85% of the entire workforce now has access to shorter hours because the results were so positive.

The idea isn’t “work less, get lazy” — it’s work smarter, reduce burnout, improve people’s quality of life, and still get the job done. Technology and productivity have skyrocketed over the past 30 years, but our schedules haven’t changed with the times.

I’m curious what people around here think:
Would something like this help working families?
Would it improve parenting time, stress, health, or job satisfaction?
Could it boost local economies by giving people more time to actually live?

Just opening the conversation — what’s your take on a modernized work week?

As I step forward to run for Akron City Council (Ward 10), I want to build this campaign the same way we build a strong neighborhood—by listening first.

So let me ask you this:

What is ONE thing you want to see improved, changed, or protected in Ward 10?
Big or small — safety, housing, youth programs, roads, cleanliness, jobs, community events — anything.
Your voice shapes my priorities.

Drop your thoughts in the comments.
Let’s build something real together. ❤️

– Ryan “King Vee” Stull
Candidate for Akron City Council, Ward 10
Putting people before politics.

Its official.

For too long, regular people have been left out of the conversations that shape our neighborhoods. Decisions about our jobs, our homes, and our kids’ futures are being made by people who’ve forgotten what it’s like to live like us, to struggle, to grind, to care about the community around them.

That’s why I’m stepping up.
My name is Ryan Stull, and I’m running for City Council in Ward 10 with one mission:
👉 Restoring Power to the People.🇺🇸

I’m not a career politician. I’m a father, a working man, and someone who’s seen firsthand how much potential Akron has when we come together. My campaign isn’t backed by corporations or lobbyists, it’s powered by the same people who make this city move every single day.

My Priorities

Housing:
Fight for affordable, safe, and fair housing for families — and hold absentee landlords accountable.

Jobs:
Create pathways for better employment, small business growth, and trade programs that help our people build careers, not just find jobs.

Schools & Youth Reform:
Support education that teaches real-life skills — financial literacy, cooking, trades, and accountability — while pushing for mentorship and after-school programs that keep kids off the streets and focused on success.

Community Safety:
Support better police training focused on de-escalation and mental health. Build youth outlets through sports and community programs that turn conflict into discipline and growth.

This campaign isn’t about me, it’s about us.
It’s about giving Akron its voice back and making sure the people of Ward 10 have someone who fights for them, not above them.

If you believe it’s time to bring honesty, unity, and real change to Akron — stand with me.
Together, we’ll restore power to the people.

I’m a progressive populist — I believe in empowering everyday people, making the system work fairly for everyone, holding corporations and elites accountable, and ensuring everyone has access to basic opportunities like healthcare, education, and a living wage. I’ll work within our democracy to make life better for the majority, not to overthrow it.

🗣️STOP FEDERAL FUNDING TO ISRAEL

🗣️STOP ALLOWING AMERICAN POLITICIANS TO ACCEPT FOREIGN MONEY.

We’ve seen enough empty promises.
It’s time for accountability, fairness, and leadership that puts people first.
Together, we can rebuild trust and build a future that works for everyone.

🇺🇸 Restoring Power to the People.

Our country was built on the idea that government should serve us, not corporations, lobbyists, or foreign interests buying influence behind closed doors.

I’m running to rebuild an America where families can thrive on a single income, where education teaches real life skills, and where accountability, fairness, and opportunity define our future.

This isn’t about left or right, it’s about right and wrong. It’s about us.

If you believe in taking our communities back from the powerful few, I invite you to join my campaign team and help build something real.

💬 Comment “I’m in” or message me directly to get involved.

I believe in an America that works for the people, not the corporations. A country where our workers are empowered, our youth are truly educated, and our communities thrive together.

Our schools should teach life, not just tests. Taxes, cooking, writing a resume, financial literacy, and home skills should be standard education, not an afterthought. Housing should be affordable, and no one should be allowed to monopolize land and property while families struggle to survive.

I believe in fair taxes, where the wealthy pay their share, the middle class carries a reasonable load, and the working class can finally breathe. Those taxes should build our nation: defend it, educate it, heal it, and protect it from corruption.

We must stop sending billions overseas while our infrastructure crumbles, our people can’t afford healthcare, and our power grid lags behind the world. We must hold billionaires accountable, not reward them with loopholes and tax breaks.

I believe in the right to love who you love, to practice your faith freely, and to pursue happiness so long as it doesn’t trample the rights of others. I believe in well-trained law enforcement that serves with strength, empathy, and discipline, because safety and justice must go hand in hand.

It’s time to bring back the America where one job could support a family, where community meant something, and where the people, not corporations, had the loudest voice.

I’m one person, but one dream can spark a movement. Together, we can rebuild a fairer, stronger, and more united America.
