What started as a routine gynecology appointment turned into a life-changing diagnosis for Mallory when unexpected symptoms led to the discovery of early-stage endometrial cancer. Thanks to the quick action of her care team, she moved from diagnosis to surgery in just days.
Today, after a minimally invasive robotic hysterectomy, Mallory is cancer-free and looking ahead to new adventures with family and friends. She credits the compassionate, coordinated care she received from Dr. Pamela Drummond-Ray, Dr. Stephen Andrews and the entire Summa Health team for helping her navigate one of life's most challenging moments with confidence and hope.

Summa Health is making it easier for patients to access advanced diagnostic imaging close to home with the addition of mobile CT and MRI units. These mobile imaging vehicles help expand access to important services in the communities we serve, reducing the need for some patients to travel farther for care.
The units travel on a weekly schedule to Barberton, Green, Medina and Stow, offering CT and MRI services with the same advanced technology and expert care patients expect from Summa Health. This approach supports timely diagnosis, treatment planning and follow-up care while providing a more convenient option for patients and providers.

The right kind of support can make a world of difference for certain health conditions—just like it did with Kevin.
Several health and life changes led to Kevin’s gaining weight until he reached his heaviest weight—over 500 pounds. He knew it was time to act and called on Summa Health’s weight management team for help. Today Kevin has lost over 50 percent of his body weight, thanks to a personalized care plan and ongoing support from Summa Health.

Emerging Leaders Group, Cohort 5, volunteered at the Akron/Canton Food Bank as part of their leadership program experience.
