The 10th Annual KJ's 5K event benefits RubberCity Rescue, an organization that gives animals a second chance through rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption.

Today, we were lucky enough to spend time with some adorable puppies from the shelter.

While these pups are still writing their stories, many animals who come through the shelter have overcome incredible challenges before finding loving homes.

Throughout the week, we'll be sharing real rescue stories that remind us why this mission matters.
