Should I Touch That? Is a sensory game experience I developed as a study in information design. With the target user being 2-5 year olds it was important to use bright visuals to inspire curiosity while avoiding the need for any reading from the user.
Slide 5 and 6 explain how the experience will work and what the concept game installation would look like. I imagine this could be a fun, easy way to engage kids at a science center or learning center while simultaneously improving their decision making skills when around dangerous materials.

As a designer one of the hardest things to do is redesign your own work. That was the challenge working with music producer Matt Maunus aka Matt Light da Flame. I designed his original logo in 2018 and after a good run, it was time for a refresh.
For the updated look my goal was to best represent the brand while doing the least on the page, and eliminate the need for a second color (red).
The final product is a strong and unique symbol mark and type lockup without any unnecessary frills. Doing less but delivering more. You can see some of my process and sketches on the last slide.

This Fall I had the opportunity to work as the Art Director for The Burr Magazine’s Fall 2024 issue. The team and myself produced a 32-page zine currently on newsstands on the Kent State campus. I provided art direction for the visuals of the magazine including designing a new logo, table of contents, and page sequencing style. In addition to creating art direction for the mag I also designed several spreads including a 3-page feature article focusing on KSU’s Women’s Basketball team the reigning MAC conference Champions.
