Gave our Thyme a trim for the Spring. Propagated some. What do we do with it all?

• Dehydrate and fill our spice jar frequently
• Make bread dipping sauce with other spices
• Infuse some in oil
• Make a tea blend supportive for spasmodic coughs

Latin name is Thymus vulgaris and it’s wonderful to use for not only cooking but, medicinal purposes as well. One of our go to herbal remedies to support upper respiratory ailments. If you aren’t growing it, I highly recommend growing some. It’s easy to grow in any pot or garden.

Making stock blends is a great way to utilize the same beneficial oils in many different aspects. The oils of a stock blend can be diffused immediately with just a few drops. Add a carrier and now you’ve got an oil blend to rub on your area of need, or quickly add to a nasal inhaler so you are benefiting directly via your olfactory system without offending others. This time of year, we make multiple stock blends. Don’t forget to label your stock blend and remember to put an expiration date. That will be the date of the oldest oil in your blend. Hope you find this helpful. Stay healthy my friends. ***This Blend is not recommended for children under the age of 10***

🍂Welcome October🍂 Hope you are enjoying the changes of season. We have been extremely busy here on the new farm. Savoring all the Fall feels. Harvesting herbs, growing Fall crops, building a coop, studying (yes I’m back in school again…) making holistic wellness alternatives with cold and flu season quickly upon our heels and drinking way to much coffee and tea.

Have you thought about how you will best support you and yours this cold and flu season?

🍁Hoping you are all well~🍁

"Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." — Albus Dumbledore

May is Mental Health Awareness month. Don’t forget to turn your light on. Aromatherapy can help dramatically invoke feelings of hope when the light is dim or off.

Always know you are worthy and you are loved~
