Show days are long days for all rabbit enthusiasts. Up at dawn, packing, traveling, unpacking, setting up, showing, standing, waiting, more showing, and possibility more showing after 2 shows if you have a rabbit win BOB, then they join all their classes BOB 's for BIS or a speciality show for your breed 🤣
We only took 4 rabbits, they were the only 4 not currently molting, bred or raising babies 😅 Just to participate, hang out with friends, get supplies, support the club raffles..Show A -3 of 4 placed in the upper half of their classes, 3 of 4 were young seniors at their 1st show, and Arizona, one of our young senior does placed 1st in her class of 12. Show B was the same, but Artie (5 year old veteran) received 1st place senior solid buck in a class of 17, and BOSV, Arizona placed 2nd in senior solid does, the other buck and doe were in the top half also.

Who knows what the future holds, but as we continue to say goodbye to our favorite old timers, I realize there's just no replacing them.

Gr.Ch Artie just earned his 8th leg at the Between the Lakes show in April. It was his 5th birthday. He is the only son of Paddington we have, and just like his sire he makes gorgeous daughters, rarely sons 💔 l
Faith claimed him right away, he grew on me over time. He is the sweetest, well mannered buck in the herd. Although he has been shown sporadically he's remembers how to pose and be polite to the judges. I'm grateful Faith wouldn't part with him, sometimes I have to learn patience from her 😅
Around here when cute bucks are born we get excited like most others do for does. On average we produce a higher percentage of does, and we love cute girls too but we rarely get to show many bucks because we don't have them. Only time will tell if these 2 off Buzz x Steffie make it to a future show 😉

Warmer weather means grooming molting rabbits outside, and blowing their coats out. Except Fancy, the only time she's easier to groom because we can just shear her coat off.

Our poor Ginnifer. She got hit by the molting monster. She's still one of my favorite Gambler daughters. Our brood does make us proud.
Kotcha said out with the old and in with the new 😁 I'm sure with temperatures finally creeping up she'll feel good when her old winter coat is blown out.
She deserves a spa day, she'll be wearing a litter of 4 does off a very special buck; Blue Tree's Pete (12+legs/ lost count, Convention BOB, too many BOB, BOS, to many 1st place SSB to reremember. Black & Blue tortes/solid and broken. Hopefully these 2 very nice rabbits will pass down some of those genes.
