''Myths and misconceptions about modern FP methods is still a very big problem in West Nile. Many women and young girls in Zombo district incorrectly perceive use of modern contraceptives to be more dangerous than early pregnancy.
Understanding how belief of myths and misconceptions about family planning in a community is associated with contraceptive behaviors is very important for the development of programs and policies that aim to increase contraceptive prevalence."-Christine Acirocan, ADHO Zombo DLG

Happening Now: We have joined PSI-Uganda , Ministry of Health- Uganda and partners to discuss the National Total Market Approach(TMA) Strategy 2020-2025 and how it will be implemented.
The strategic objective of this TMA strategy is to increase the market size of FP services and commodities, expand market accessibility, establish mechanisms for FP market sustainability, increase access to FP services and commodities to all populations segments and improve partner stewardship, coordination and monitoring.
As we get closer to the 2nd Annual Adolescents and Young People’s SafeMotherhood Conference. Let’s be reminded that family planning is not a privilege, but a basic human right.
By enabling women, particularly the most disadvantaged and hardest to reach to make informed choices about the number, timing and spacing of their children, we help them exercise this right.
Are you a family planning service provider? If yes, did you know that a woman who is dissatisfied with any contraceptive sounds more convincing than a satisfied user?
Please note, "family planning side effect management is extremely important."
