Livelihood rural community Organization is a not-for profit registered rural community based organization founded in 2011 to mobilize, empower and uplift the quality of life of the rural poor community of Mayuge town council. It's committed to mobilizing and teaching the rural community to be at the forefront of the struggle to improve their livelihoods. Belief: A united and informed rural communi

Vision: An empowered, confident and cooperative rural community that can rally up itself to tackle issues that affect its members. Mission: To mobilize, empower and uplift the quality of life of the rural community of Mayuge town council. Activities: Mobilizes the community to work together, promotes awareness on salient issues that the target community e.g Lack of access to safe drinking water, Poverty, HIV/AIDS, early pregnancies and marriages, violence, drug abuse and crime, human rights and environmental conservation. It also initiates, involves and organizes community trainings and implementation of economic and social activities such as modern agricultural practices for food security and income generation, health awareness campaigns, and youth behavioural change programs. Objectives
• To initiate, involve and train rural community members in economic activities such as modern agricultural practices for food security and income generation.
• Promote awareness on salient issues that affect our community such as; lack of access to clean water, poverty, HIV/AIDS, environmental degradation, human rights abuse, domestic violence, and poor access to education.
• Mobilize and engage youths in activities such as games and sports, Music, Dance and Drama to divert them from idleness with all its negative consequences of drug abuse, crime and immorality while identifying talents, skills, gifts and community resources to meet their concerns and needs.
• Contribute to the empowerment of older persons to effectively participate in and benefit from development initiatives.
• Improve the quality of life of Rural Poor Youths through training in Life and Livelihood Skills and Counseling and Guidance
