Through their savings and credit sacco, and the small group projects , the women of Adorn life initiative have grown stronger to invest in house hold health.
Spirit in Action (SIA) I Am Someone - OrphFund Colour Our Story

We were honored to host Joanne and her cousin Kristen from I Am Someone, who generously donated reusable sanitary pads to women in our community and trained them on how to produce these pads locally.

Reusable sanitary pads play a vital role in improving women’s productivity by addressing the challenge faced by those who cannot afford disposable sanitary products each month. They also help reduce school dropout rates among teenage girls and minimize vulnerability that may push young women into risky dependencies—one of the contributing factors to teenage pregnancies and school dropout.

This initiative not only promotes reproductive health and menstrual hygiene but also empowers women with skills that foster sustainability and self-reliance.

While we still seek support from potential partners to meet susteinabilty of our work, we thank Bwera school of nursing for offering us 5 slots of half bursary scholarship for our students who recently completed secondary school and qualified highly To join tertiary school.

They have already reported to the school and we continue to seek for any form of support to help us see this whole dream come real.

From a walk to a student campaign, to gathering them for inspirational meetings, to recruiting them back into school, to celebrating their victory ❤️ 😍..

Dear friends and well-wishers,

One of our key objectives in promoting wellbeing has been the fight against illiteracy. For the past four years, we have been providing education support to children who are extremely vulnerable and would not have had the opportunity to attend school without help.

Today, we are grateful to share that five (5) of these children have successfully completed secondary school and are now hoping to join tertiary institutions. Meanwhile, the rest of the children are preparing to return to school for a new term, which begins tomorrow.

As we celebrate this progress, we are kindly appealing for your support to help us meet their school fee requirements and ensure that none of these children is forced to miss school due to financial limitations.

Any contribution—big or small—will make a meaningful difference in keeping these children in school and securing their future.

We were delighted for another time with The women of Adorn life initiative under the women empowerment program aimed at building mothers ad gardians of house hold wellbeing.
The mothers got blessed with the teaching from Dr. Sharon on the need of family planning and child spacing in ensuring wellbeing in a home.

We later visited the garden where the mothers propose to run a market gardening project that aims to provide the rare nutritious foods to the community, yet supporting to boost their social economic potential through their Sacco.

We were greatly honoured to extend our success wishes to our students who are now doing their final Ordinary level Exams after four years of support through Adorn life initiative.
We take the honour to thank everyone who has with love given in towards seeing these kids reach this far.

These kids were recruited for our support through our program aimed at fighting illiteracy for health, as a relief from forced early child marriage, abuse and to some denial/luck of school fees.
