Did u know that your car tyre has a maximum speed?
Then sit and read as I explained to u this.
WHAT IS TIRE SPEED RATING?
A tire’s speed rating indicates the optimal speed that the tire can safely maintain over time. In short, it’s the fastest speed a tire can handle before it no longer performs as designed. The higher the speed rating, the better control and handling you’ll have at higher speeds.
The speed rating system was developed to help control the safe performance of tires at standardized speeds. A tire’s certified speed rating is given a letter from A to Z, ranging from 5km/h (3mph) to above 300 km/h (186 mph).
This rating system (see below) shows the top speed for which a tire is certified. It does not indicate the total performance capability of a tire.
WHY WERE TIRE SPEED RATINGS DEVELOPED?
The speed rating system used today was developed in Europe in response to the need to control the safe performance of tires at standardized speeds. When the rating system was originally developed, the "Unlimited V" category of over 210 km/h (130 mph) was the top speed rating possible.
As manufacturers developed bigger and better tires, it became necessary to regulate performance at standardized speeds to ensure safety. The "Limited V" category of 250 km/h (149 mph) was then created, and eventually the "Z" speed rating was added as the top speed rating. (Always consult the manufacturer for the maximum speed of Unlimited Z tires.)
IS YOUR CAR TELLING YOU TO CHANGE ITS BATTERY?
Getting a weekly inspection for your car in Uganda is important for maintaining a high performing vehicle. However, poor usage and bad practices often leads to several complications with the car’s battery which directly affects the vehicle’s health and performance.
Signs that show that your battery needs changing are
1. Your lights start to dim
2. Engine cranks slowly
3. The vehicle often hitches when starting
4. Your gas pedal needs more pressing tostart
5. A clicking sound when you turn on the ignition

Make sure to check your spark plugs and spark plug wires or coil packs every 40,000 miles. You will need these to be in good condition for your car to run correctly. We are more than happy to help with a spark plug replacement when you need it! .
Anti-lock braking systems (ABS) help you steer in emergencies by restoring traction to your tires.Helps prevent wheels from locking up – possibly allowing the driver to steer to safety.
A check engine light or malfunction indicator lamp (MIL), is a tell-tale that a computerized engine-management system uses to indicate a malfunction. Found on the instrument panel of most automobiles, it usually bears the legend engine, check engine, service engine soon, maintenance required, emmiss maint, or a pictogram of an engine—and when illuminated, it is typically an amber or red color.
The light generally has two stages: steady (indicating a minor fault) and flashing (indicating a severe fault). When the MIL is lit, the engine control unit stores a fault code related to the malfunction, which can be retrieved—although in many models this requires the use of a scan tool. This warning light can indicate almost anything from a loose gas cap to a serious knock in the engine.
Real information can be retrieved by use of a diagnostics scan tool which we do at a fee.

When should u change your car engine oil??
You know you should change your oil at regular, reasonable intervals to make sure your car runs smoothly but a common question remains: How often should you change your oil? What is a reasonable amount of time — or mileage — between oil changes?
The traditional recommendation is that you should change your oil every 3,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. However, the new standard is that you can typically change your oil every 5,000 miles worry-free (especially if you are driving a relatively new car or are in “optimal operating conditions).
The truth is that the frequency in which you change your oil depends on your manufacturer’s recommendations, your operating conditions (environment), and how much wear and tear your car has already experienced.
Oil change frequency
Before we dive into the different conditions that can impact oil change frequency, we must understand why we even need to get an oil change! Dirty oil just doesn’t do the job as well as fresh oil does. The additives in dirty oil boil out, contaminants form in the crankcase and eat metal parts, and water collects over time and forms sludge. The oil holds more and more abrasive particles of metal suspended in it, and these particles wear away the parts of the engine that the oil is supposed to protect.
You know you should change your oil at regular, reasonable intervals. But what is a reasonable amount of time — or mileage — between oil changes?
All oil looks pretty black within a couple of days after an oil change, so the only way to avoid running on oil that’s so dirty that it becomes a liability is to keep a record of when it was last changed and to change it frequently — as often as every 1,000 miles in extreme operating conditions. By changing your oil frequently, you may get twice the mileage out of an otherwise good engine.
Oil changes in extreme operating conditions
You’ll be surprised by what some “extreme operating conditions” are: If you do a lot of stop-and-go driving in city or rush-hour traffic, make a lot of short trips each day and leave the car parked long enough to have your engine cool down between them, and don’t often get up to high speeds on a highway, your engine rarely gets hot enough to evaporate the water that forms in the crankcase and builds up sludge in the engine. Other extreme conditions are if you drive in very hot weather or in areas with a lot of blowing dust or dirt, or tow or haul heavy loads all the time. In any of these circumstances, change the oil as often as every 1,000 to 3,000 miles on older vehicles. On new vehicles, follow the manufacturers’ recommendations for extreme use.
Oil changes in optimal operating conditions
How often to change oil can be dependent on the car manufacturer — some manufacturers suggest that oil be changed every 7,500 miles or more, but that’s based on optimum operating conditions, and the manufacturers are the ones who get to sell you a new vehicle if your old one wears out prematurely. Although new vehicles can run longer on the same oil than older ones can, and improvements in motor oil have extended its efficiency over longer periods of time, to be on the safe side, you might want to change your oil every 5,000 miles or every six months, whichever comes first. If you’re a freeway driver who goes on a lot of long journeys at high speeds, you can probably extend the oil change interval, but on anything but the newest vehicles, don’t go longer than 5,000 miles between changes. And never, under any circumstances, go farther than the manufacturer’s recommended maximum interval between oil changes.
Have u ever taken time to check your car tyre wear. Have a check on this.
Hey members, as u plan for the long weekend trips, please pass by our workshop for your car inspection to avoid break down.
Many of us do this without knowing the real risks. The water bottle and shoes can get under the pedals. Let's be really careful.
Sharing is saving a life.
Have a blessed day.
