Hello family members, youth and the entire nation. On Saturday 29.02.2020 I will retire from Youth leadership officially . I appreciate all your great support in my 10 years of service in the youth. I regret all that I could not fulfil intentionally and unintentionally and im very sure that the new youth leaders will add to the small I managed to build. I will give my hand morally or physically in case I'm able to and I will make sure that Uganda remains shining. Great thanks to my fellow youth from 2010 that we struggled to raise YFWP and later moved to YSP with great spirit. I pray to Heavenly Parent to raise Uganda above the plains to success. For God, YSP and Uganda. Ssuuna. K. James.

We shall have our celebrations in Masulita Town council, Wakiso district.

Uganda will on 12th of August, 2018 join the rest of the world in commemorating the International Youth Day(IYD). The National Celebrations for this year will be held at Kampiringisa National Rehabilitation Centre in Mpigi District, under the theme: “Safe Spaces for Youth”.

At the same occasion, the Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development will launch the Uganda Green Incubation Program (UGIP), Songhai Model pilot project at Kampiringisa.

About the International Youth Day
IYD is an awareness day designated by the United Nations in 1999 with the adoption of Resolution 54/120. The Day provides an opportunity for government and other stakeholders to take stock of accomplishments in the journey of youth empowerment and to draw attention to youth issues worldwide.

The theme
Safe Spaces for Youth is the theme that was selected for this year, with input from youth organizations and members of the UN Inter-Agency Network in Youth Development. The term safe space refers to an autonomous space created for individuals who feel marginalized to come together to communicate their experiences and expectations.

Youth need safe spaces where they can come together, engage in activities related to their diverse needs and interests, participate in decision making processes and
freely express themselves. While there are many types of spaces, safe spaces ensure the dignity, safety and personal development of a youth.
