Ur lost friends, hopefully ur doing just fine! UAFA
Any one to get for me the telephone contact of the people at UAF; the one on their website (+256312340342) doesn't go thru & yet I need to inquire abt some thing on this year's competitions.

The Ugandan Athletes Fund - Helping great talent become world class About the Academy

Our registered club in the Ugandan Athletics Federation

The Ugandan Athletes Fund Academy was established in 2015 and is a Track club registered in the Ugandan Athletics Federation.

It primarily works with unprivileged, talented young athletes within the ages of 15-22. Our strive is that the athletes we take in to the program are talented young boys and girls that with an extra financial support as well as an assigned coach can reach their full potential as athletes. We have athletes like Oscar Nyionzima (18yrs) that went from being homeless to having a stable running life an

The 2022, 2nd National Field and Track competition just got done with a great improvement from our new athletes who seemingly are all having a new season all together.
However much they are all still new, there some exceptional performances from the individual athletes as seen from the results below!

Women (5,000m)
- Doreen Chebet | Time (17.00.49) | Position : 6th
(This young girl is surely a new athlete who we are hopeful that given more time she will definitely hit the high ends as the season drives on.

- Chemtai Eunice | Time (17.39.61) | Position : 8th

- Mande Rebecca | Time (18.43.89) | Position : 10th

Men (10,000m)
- Simon Puloo | Time (31.23.93) | Position : 10th
Simon is one of the new athletes that we believe will step up his game , just a few things he needs to correct and everything might fall in place for the young star.

- Kiprop Solomon | Time (31.26.53) | Position : 11th

- Kimtai Joshua | Time (31.39.07) | Position : 13th

- Kiptoo Victor | Time (32.10.74) | Position : 15th

MEN (100m Heat 1)
1. Kansiime Joseph Mwesigwa | Time (11.85sec) | Position : 1st
Men (200m Heat 3)
1. Okabo Santos |Time (22.28sec) | Position : 1st

From the results portraid today, you can visibly see that the new athletes are surely doing what they can do with exception of some that need more panel beating hence doing better times probably in the next trial slated for 2 weeks from today.

We therefore thank the athletes for ultimate representation, Team Captain, Coach, Club manager, our coach Tor Pöllänen, Club President for the continued resilience even when sometimes things don't look upright and Club sponsors especially our head-sponsor Runacademy for enabling us to be where we are today ❤🙏🏽 .

The results from the source of the Nile Half-Marathon are out, but our athlete who came in 11th place got DNF (did not finish) in the results list, is it because we complained that the results were late/delayed 🤔!? Number 183 did actually finish the race, if you see the picture below. So can someone please explain what's happening, how someone can be removed from the results and the position + time given to someone else.

10/03/2022

The results from the first national trials held last Saturday, March 5, are now out 👍🏽. We are still awaiting the results of the Source of the Nile Half-Marathon which was arranged on 27th February 2022.

It's been almost two weeks and still no results from source of the Nile Half-Marathon. Does this happen in other countries also that you run a race but organizers (Ugandan federation in this case) do not post results from the race? It's always like this in Uganda, you run but there are no results until several weeks after the race. As a runner, you want feedback immediately on how you performed because that's why you compete to measure yourself with others and with yourself.
